  1. Hi Mal take a look at this i expect your engine is to new for it but you never know. www.abellrc.com/instructions/CRRC%2026cc%20Carb%20Update.pdf   regards woody
  2. My crrc 26 is brilliant!! I am still running it in on a 25:1 fuel to oil mix with a16x6 prop. It now has 4 hours on it and revs to 9200rpm It provides plenty of power to prop hang my Funtana 90, All in all I'm really pleased with it. Ps these engines take between 12 to 20 hours to run in Small props and high oil content are the order of the day.
  3. Hi mine seems to be quite quiet really my mates spe 26 is 96db and is louder than my crrc, im still running mine on a 16x6 as it is still running in, its only had about 3.5 hours of running/flying and the instructions say  between 12 to 20 hours running!! its fitted to a hanger 9 funtana 90 which only weighs 7.5lbs so power output is really good
  4. Hi I use castrol tts in my crrc pro 26cc and my 3w 55i i think it is the best 2 stroke oil you can buy!! i say this as i used to race motocross bikes until a year ago and when you strip an engine after it has been run on it all the engine components are in really good condition with no sludge or sticky residue as with alot of other oils i have used. I have got some of my fellow club members on it with various makes of engines and all seem to be happy on it, oh and i use it with super unleaded fuel. Hope this helps.   Regards Woody.
  5. Hi guys I have flown my funtana this weekend, the crrc pro 26 performed really well considering its still on 25:1 mix with a 16x8 jxf prop, it maxed out at 9200rpm.The only thing was it was a bit harder to start than on the test  stand, it took a lot more flipping, I think it could do with a servo on the choke as you cant give it any throttle on choke otherwise it releases itself i will take a look at this in the week.
  6. Hi guys I have just got myself a crrc pro 26 v2 so far it has had 5 ten minute runs on super unleaded fuel with castrol tts fully sinthetic oil at a 25:1 mix to run it in, with a 16x8 jxf prop,it hand starts no problem and idles at 2000 rpm. I run it for ten minutes at a time at different rpm's then allow it to cool its been superb so far,  going to fit it to my funtana 90 this week  cant wait!!.

    Which 2.4 module??

Hi all thanks for all the feedback, i have a range of about 28 models ranging from indoor shockies to my 50cc extra, everything is on 35mhz and i have never been interested in 2.4 that is until i spent over 2000 pounds on my extra! And all of a sudden im worried about being shot down, I think i am going to go for the jeti duplex as it works in a similar way to the futaba system but with a few extra bits like the jeti box, and seems well priced to. I not against these budget systems but as with everything you do seem to get what you pay for! regards woody.
  11. Hi all I was wondering if anyone could help.I am looking at getting a 2.4ghz module for my ff9, it would be for use with my 50cc wild hare extra the problem is i dont know which one to go for is it best to keep it futaba? Although i like the sound of the jetti duplex .Any feedback would be gratefully recieved. Cheers Woody.
  12. Hi neil Did you find out about the replacement covers? mine is looking a bit tatty are they available? and how much? Regards Woody.
  13. Hi  Thanks for the advice,i will check the retracts, i fitted it with an osfs 70 surpass, and never had any bumpy landings i thought the same as you that the engine mounting was loose!  other than that it is a really nice aircraft. regards Woody.

  17. Hi all I recently purchased a kyosho spitfire 50 the ic version, after 2 flights i noticed the spinner rubbing on the cowling. I then looked a little closer and could feel the engine moving around alot, when i got it home i removed the cowling to find the bulk head coming out of the fus this also extends back into the fus where all the joints seemed to be seperating. I was really dissapointed with this as the model seemed really good quality and had i not noticed would have cost me the model. Has anyone elce had this or did i just get a friday afternoon model!! 18. Not quite sure how it happend they broke off from each other and on coming back towards each other for a pass the jet on the left seemed to be a bit low and caught the reads which surround the field the model went in and burst into flames!!
  19. Hi All Can i just say how sorry i was to see matthew bishop crash his airworld hawk at woodspring wings on saturday afternoon! Steve and Matthew put on such a brilliant show, this is not only a finanical loss to him but an even bigger loss to the spectators up and down the country. Lets just hope he can get another one and keep their display going. All the best James.

Hi Mike Thanks for the advice, as soon as i get a chance i will try out what you have suggested, although i would rather run it on 12% fuel as i run all my models on this. I will let you know how i get on. Best Regards James.

    SC 120FS

I'm having a few problems with my sc 120fs engine, it is fitted in my funtana s 90. I bought the complete thing; plane engine radio ect... second hand it is in as new condition the previous owner said that it had had around 10 flights, which I can believe. However I can't seem to get it set up correctly, it will start up and run and I have flown it but it doesnt seem to have much power. I landed it and adjusted it several times with little difference, it is swinging a 16x4 apc prop and seems to be quite rich even when I only have the needle 1 turn out. It also cuts out if I rev it to full throttle and then back to idle and will start straight away after. I have fitted a new os f plug and checked the valve clearences which seem to be ok. I am running it on Al's Hobbies 12% fuel. Does anyone have any ideas??? Regards Woody.
  23. I only missed out on the lottery by 6 numbers last week! surely i've got to win something soon.
