Flightline/Freewing Spare Parts
woody replied to Rocker's topic in R/C Retailers / Distributors / Manufacturers
Both myself and a friend of mine have both had a nightmare with them, they couldn’t run a bath let alone a business customer service is absolutely paramount these days as it’s so easy to go elsewhere. And they have absolutely no clue about that whatsoever. I would just tell people to go to motion rc in the eu great service and fast delivery -

If you are unable to install a can, then the best Pitt’s muffler for it is the Evolution 33 muffler.

woody replied to Paul Marsh's topic in Shows, Club Events and Competitions
Hi paul, Can I ask is the show worth visiting on a Friday? I have heard that in the past traders have not been open on the Friday and it just wasn't generally as good as the weekend, I have always been on a sat in the past but this year Friday suits me better. Thanks james -

Yes it is nice, the pilot is the hanger 9 30% pilot head It's the perfect scale and the colours of it are spot on. It has a 3w55i and an mtw td75 can with JR servos all round I too didn't use the fuel tank and tubing I used a flowmax one from the prop guy I also had the same problems as you with the rudder horns! I would go for a westwings swallow, simple to build and a nice model, slightly over budget at £20

DLE 20/petrol engines - remove throttle return spring?
woody replied to Rich too's topic in IC Engines
I disconnect the spring on all my petrols, but I also use a good quality digital servo, it's surprising how much of a difference a good servo on the throttle makes, i disconnect the spring as if the servo is fighting it it will draw a lot more current out of the flight battery's, and I've seen servos burnt out because of it woody -
Thanks guys. cs the invasion stripes are done with 3m vinyl masking tape and I used some tamiya masking tape also. Graham thanks for answering the question as I didn't really know the reason behind it but it works well. Im not sure what to fuel proof it with yet as I think the eze cote resin will look to shiny, I have some Jp fuel proofer but am not sure what to thin it with that won't affect the paint, I think I will have to try a few test pieces. Woody.
