  1. Looking very good Chris. I started drawing on a drawing board years ago and saw how it was changing to computers, so I did a course on AutoCad. The company I was working for installed Microstation which is so easy to use. Never looked back. Just send me a message if and when you need a hand. Cheers Mike
  2. Looking good and a big fan of DeHavilland aircraft. I'm looking to start the Dale Tattam DH Tiger Moth and the Dumas Dragon Rapide. If you want any help drawing up plans, give us a shout, can do it on computer using Microstation.
  3. I bought a copy of the plan back in the early 90's
  4. Just found this thread. I have a Dumas kit as well, waiting to be started. There's a few threads on RC Groups website. Try these: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1009606-Dumas-Dragon-Rapide https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?559571-The-DeHavilland-Rapide-for-Twin-IPS https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1650419-Another-Tritle-Dragon-Rapide-Build-and-Maiden-Flight https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1564907-Funbuild-5-42-DeHavilland-DH-89-Dragon-Rapide-kit-by-Dumas&highlight=dragon%20rapid Must try and start on mine.
  5. Thanks for all the replies. My next step was to join the BMFA and sort the insurance out. My nearest club seems to be Barnsley Flying Club. Think i've sorted the connector thing. Found a lead that has a XT60 connector and one end and JST at other, so that should sort charging side. Also sourced a JST with lead so I can solder a MPX connector, so that will sort connection in model. The wonders of the internet !!. Thanks again.
  6. Hi, I bought a Multiplex Shark r/c to start learning on. Looking at the connector from ESC there's a MPX connector. On the Lipo its a JST-XH connector. The battery charger has a XT60 to connect to battery for charging. Receiver has 3pin connection, but LiPo has only 2. Receiver voltage says 4.5 to 6.6 volts. LiPo is a 3s which is 11.1 volts. Please help, totally confused !
  7. Thanks for all the replies guys. Been on holiday. Best have a look at finishing all my current builds before starting a new one. Cheers Mike
  8. Thinking of building a Whizpurr 40 (fsp 09921) It shows a 40 Cobalt electric geared motor fitted. What would be today's equivalent brushless outrunner and prop size. Thanks
