  1. Well! I got the Horizon Hobby Blade 230S (RTF) for my birthday and was really happy about that. I unwrapped and unpacked the box, and charged the battery straight away. Joy!! As soon as the battery was charged, I grabbed the chopper and radio, and scooted out to the garden to see the "blades turn" ... that was where the disappointment lay. There is an old adage that says "there is no second chance to create a first impression" ... the Blade 230S has failed to do that. Trying to remove the canopy to install the battery, I managed to break off the piece with the rubber grommet on the right side of the canopy ... I too was broken at the sight of it. Anyway, I spun up the motor, trimmed it out, and zoomed around the 30' x 18' garden area without the canopy. Back inside, I had a look at the canopy to see what had happened, and saw that it had broken off at the edge of the "windshield" piece ... the problem area. The canopy is two pieces with the edge of the "windshield" piece right at the point where the "ear" with the rubber grommet will flex/bend to remove it ... it is an accident waiting to happen. To the fellow owners of Blade 230S choppers, I wish them good flying and be careful with the canopy. To the people at Blade, I hope they take the opportunity to contact WL Toys to get help on creating a robust canopy from a single-piece moulding that has all the colours and detail that they wish ... Blade are lacking in this department it seems. The canopy costs ±£11.00 (British pounds - ±US$15.00) here in the UK, and so falls into the category of "ultra cheap crap for rapacious profits". The chopper flies an absolute treat, and performs extremely well, even though it looks like a refuge from a Terminator movie - without the canopy!
