  1. Thanks Percy and Denis for very prompt responses. I checked Mick Reeves web site and it has a solution but not exactly what I seek, The Plastruct however is looking very hopeful and I have located the UK distributer. It seems they do not have a bespoke system but they do have two sections that I can probably adapt. The "Girder section seemingly exists and a square tube also exists that I believe I can mill a slot into one one face that will then retain but allow the girder section to slide? Unless someone knows a finished off the shelf item, I am happy to adapt the Plastruct in a suitable size so I am very grateful for the helpful feedback. I will leave my post live until I have successfully completed my challenge but feel that Denis has probably led me to a very acceptable solution, Thanks Both Mike
  2. Many of the suggested ones are already available from many sources so for me, I would like scale models that are not so easily sourced already but have real character Number one Supermarine Sea Otter (but with U/c so it can be4 flown off land) size approx. 5-6ft wingspan, IC power or elec Number two Edgeley Optica as long as the cockpit and annular ring can be offered as part of a parts kit (size/power as above) Number three Grumman Martlett (English Wildcat) or Bell Airacobra, don't mind which (size/power as above) Sorry it is 4 aircraft but whilst loads of Hellcat models/plans seem to exist, there seems few of the last two modelled and even fewer, if any of the first two in the sizes suggested that are big enough to have presence and small enough to fit most transport. Love your Hurricane (I have two of them) and your recent Mossie! Looking forward to flying my Mossie in 2016 Mike
  3. I recently acquired a very nice traditionally built Tony Nijhuis Hurricane model with many clever details and features. In particular, it has an extremely neat opening cockpit using plastic slider square "C"channel and "girder" slider slotted into it. I now wish to replicate this on another model but cannot find a supplier of the plastic sections. Anyone know a supplier please?
  4. Help please? I am using a RCV90 SP motor that normally drives an 18"x12 prop but wish to find and fit a 4 blader as this is what the full size aircraft I am building would have used. As the prop travels at half crank speed, it needs a large dia/pitch. Two questions, 1- what 4 blade size and pitch should replace the two blade? 2- where might I source the 4 blade prop from? Hoping someone out there has the answers? Mike
