  2. Hi Stephen, Thanks for you help but unfortunately I use a spektrum 2.4Gz (dx 5) radio, but an answer from John Privett may have solved my problem and my clubs too. Once again thanks for your help. Eddie.
  3. Hi out there,  I have just spent four and a half hours looking for a lost aircraft in a maize field that is next to the club that I use in Blackpool Lancashire, the aircraft belongs to one of the other club members who is an experienced flyer, ( I believe the engine cut out and it nose dived into the maize field) so having only just started learning to fly and having one or two crashes in the other field (corn field) on the other side of the club  I was wondering is there any sort of tracking device that I and other club members could fit to their aircraft so making it a lot easier to find if theirs and mine come down in one of the fields of corn or maize on either side of the club. It would have to be of a light constuction to fit in or on the aircraft and of course not too expensive, has any one else had this problem and if so how did you solve it.  Thanks again Eddie Bewes.
  4.  Hi, Having read all the the different comments about all the watt meters I am at a loss as to which one to choose from,I have looked at Aurorra and their meter is £56-05, BRC Hobbies meter is £27-00,modelmaniacsonline.co.uk, multiplex M X 8120 meter is £32-00, RC Electronics "watt up" meter & power analyzer is £52.35. I am a total beginner to model aircraft and I chose to go down the electric route as I am not very fond of IC power and all the mess that goes with it, It is not the price that I am concerned about but which one is best for me as when I look at them, they all seem very hard to understand as I am not very electrical minded
  5. Hi it`s me again, can any body out there tell me if it is possible to make a Spektrum DX5 buddy lead work with a futaba 6EX as one of the clubs I belong to only use futaba radio`s and because I am a total beginner and my aircraft is setup with Spektrum AR500 receiver I am a little bit nervous as to what they may alter If I let them mess with It .    Thanks Eddie.   PS. I have not flown my aircraft yet as I am waiting for an engine mount which should have come with the engine.
  6. Hi I am an absolute beginner to model aircraft flying and on advice from different clubs I have bought a Seagull E-Pioneer from my local model shop in Lancaster after being told by one of the two clubs that I belong to "to get a large wing aircraft to learn to fly with" which I did.  The problem now is that in one of the clubs I was given information on electric and told that it was a lot cleaner to use, but the other club I was told by one of the more experienced members that I would need more time on the controls (sticks) to use a fuel engine because I would need to keep my aircraft in the air longer than a battery would last.  Supplied with the Seagull E-Pioneer was an Overlander thumper V2 (650 watt/Kv1450) T3536/5 also recommended was a Li-Po 2500   11.1v   3S1P battery from Overlander which I got on the recommendation of the model shop.  The aircraft is designed to use an electric motor, what I need to know now is how do I (or even can I) convert it to a fuel engine aircraft and if so what type of engine would I need.  I did invest in a second hand E sky simulator but unfortunately I cannot get it to work properly on my computor I did download the program but it didn't work as it should have.  Now having spent a lot of money and getting knowhere with little forthcoming information and going down to these clubs and standing there like a lemon wanting to fly but not being able to because I have nothing to fly, I am getting very disillusioned and depressed that I cannot get my aircraft in the sky. Hope someone can help me out of this dilema. Eddie
