How did we all manage before the A test etc. was thought of.
It was a hobby and we had fun

Whats an A certificate
My club checks you out to make sure you are competent and safe to fly solo. No A required

Hi Carl
Have a look at the users coments (reviews) on the HK page you have linked above, they suggest a prop size.
Make sure you Esc is up to the job, use a watt meter to be sure

Same happened when the E-Flite Hurricane was reduced in price, had to wait a couple of weeks for the stock of retracts to catch up

I wonder if any model shops have a problem with Lipo's ?
If you think of the large stock, no fire proof storage seems to be used.
My local shop has a large quantity hung in pastic bag packaging behind the counter.
I do not think they put them in fire proof storage at night?
Most fires seem to occur during charging after some sort of damage due to a crash, or mishandling of some sort?
I wonder if they are safer than we are led to believe

After reading Short finals it occurred to me that most of the people featured are well known modelers.
What about a similar page aimed at Joe blogs , the Modeler/flyer who enjoys the hobby maybe on a tight budget who is not seen or heard ,maybe not even a member of a club ?
If you have seen the folks at spocktra50 on Youtube you may see what I mean.

Great present for someone with a toddler, better by far than the usual pedal car .
Save lots of money on the radio gear as well.
Great project

Hi Steve,
Looks nice,U/C a bit on the short side.
Have a search on Youtube or other R/C forums to check it out.
Lots of FW190 models on the market.
Parkzone looks a good one if a bit expensive after factoring in the cost of retracts.

Hi Vin
well I took the shine of the film by using a fine grit sponge type sanding block, the 109 I sprayed all the model with silver car spray.
The blue is from wilkinsons, not an exact match for the 109 but near enough and the dark green/light green is tester tins of emulsion mixed by homebase using a colour chart to find the closest match.
Decals found on the internet printed off on decal paper.
Used a commercial spinner, added a bit of scale detail, radio mast, tail wheel and dummy cannons,
The Spifire had the dummy spinner removed again a commercial spinner used, paint tamya matched to the colour of the green to paint the nose.
Scale detail added including dummy radiators and air scoop on the underside.

Not a mention of the first Jet fighter to see combat sevice in WW2 the Me 262
In my opinion a far more advanced design than the Meteor
Aircraft such as the Vampire, Hunter, Mig 15 and Sabre incorporated a lot of design features pioneered by the Me262.
The programme is very biased towards us Brits.
I suppose we need to remember when Britian was a World leader in the world of aviation .

Hi Andy,
Try taking all the bits to your LMS, I did and the owner was guy with many years building and flying RC models.
He took one look and agreed with me sending all the bits with the covering letter etc back to JP Perkins.
May be worth a go??
