  1. No, the new 03 unit has an internal memory and it will record OK if I switch it on manually.
  2. I have recently purchased the new DJI 03 air unit for a quad running on a Matek flight controller. I'm using DJI V2 goggles. Everything is working as it should except that the air unit does not auto-record. There is no menu when in the 03 FPV mode in the goggles for auto-record as there is in the DJI FPV goggles mode. It records fine when I manually press the record button on the goggles. I am wondering if this function just isn't available when using the 03 air unit with a non-DJI drone. Has anyone else had experience of this?
  3. I have an Eagletree Vector setup using an Eachine TS832 video transmitter. This is a new setup and there Is a constant flickering of the on screen display to the point where it is unusable. The same video tx works fine without the Vector. Does anyone have any suggestions as to resolving this problem?
  4. Thanks everyone for the replies. My radio is a Futaba T8FG. I'll connect to channel 5 and follow your advice. My idea for fun is to drop a toy soldier parachutist over our flying field.
  5. I have a Multiplex Funcub XL that has bomb bay doors that can be opened with a servo operated by a transmitter switch. How do I set the servo movement so that flicking the switch opens the doors? I have a Futaba radio. Edited By Ross McWhirter on 05/08/2018 22:48:30
  6. I have bought a Volantex Ranger 757-4 with 1.4metre wingspan. The printed manual with the model says the c of g is 52mm back from front edge of wing but in a manual I downloaded before I received the model it is stated as 70mm. Anybody have experience of this plane and know the correct c of g?
  7. Thanks for the replies. I only intend to use low rates so will go with the 20 degrees and try the same expo as my Shark trainer - hopefully at the weekend - and see how it goes.
  8. I have built up a Sebart Angel s30 and am looking to set the rates. I believe the settings quoted in the Sebart instructions which are in percentages need some kind of conversion so you can set the rates on a Futaba radio. An example is the ailerons in the Sebart booklet say for low rates they should be 20 degrees up and 20 degrees down with expo set at 40%. Any assistance would be appreciated.
  9. I am looking at the E flite P47D as tested in RCME this month. Can anyone tell me if you need to use a Spektrum radio with this or would it work with a Futaba radio?
  10. I'm not putting them away for the winter - only till next weekend! I didn't used to but have started putting my LiPos on storage mode between weekends.
  11. After flying today my batteries are sitting at a fraction under 3.8 volts per cell. Can I just store them at that without having to put them on to a storage charge cycle on my charger?
  12. Thanks for the advice on braking. I've just got the Mythos and wonder if having the brake off would help slow the plane on landing? Once I get better at landing I could turn it on at soft setting?
  13. Thanks everyone. Yes, I use my timer and land as soon as the beeper goes. It was when I tried to save a new setting on the ESC it wouldn't save until I chose a voltage. I'll set it to 3.5 volts and I'll switch off the braking.
  14. I have a Hacker X70 speed controller on a Mythos 50e. On advice of fellow flyers I am changing the braking from hard to soft. I managed this OK using the Hacker USB cable and download programme. However I couldn't save a new setting without setting a voltage under the title "reduce power below". I selected 2 volts being the lowest option. Can anyone please advise the best setting for this?
  15. Does anyone fly a Mythos 50 on 3800 6 cell LiPos? I'm told it flies best on these being lighter than 4500 LiPos. I've bought a couple of 3800s to start me off and just looking for guidance from anyone with experience of these in a Mythos 50. If I can get 7 or 8 mins flight from them that is all I need.
  16. Thanks for the advice. I'm in Dumfries model flying club so there are quite a few expert flyers to test fly for me and be there if I get into problems.
  17. I'm looking at travel settings and the Sebart instructions say set a 40 degree travel left and right but the Futaba units are stated in percentages. How do I convert 40 degrees to percent?
  18. Thanks. I've put a label on one of the leads with a note of which way round they go.
  19. I've checked the servos and it was just the extension lead connections needing reversed so all servos now working. I didn't realise the extension leads could fit both ways. The wire colours are different between the leads and servos so I picked the wrong way round first time. Thanks again.
  20. Thanks. I've reversed the throttle and it works fine now. Will now have a go at the servos.
  21. I have a Mythos50 with Futaba receiver and radio. I'm trying to connect up motor and servos (with all servo control linkages disconnected). I've connected all servos and ESC to recommended channels on the receiver. I've followed the fasst link procedure and the receiver LED is lit steady green. However only the rudder servo operates and the motor just keeps beeping as opposed to a few beeps and stopping. Any ideas anyone?
  22. I'm building up a Sebart Mythos 50e and would like to know about setting up JR digital servos. Are they centred out of the box or do they need to be energised before I connect up the control linkages?
  23. Thanks both very much for the comprehensive Advice. I'll practice paying attention to your comments.
