    Thanks for all the replies. I’ve been checking the Magazine Exchange regularly as well as EBay. I got part one on eBay. I know Sarik has the plan but they want the equivalent of $38. Canadian + shipping. It’s way more fun to track down a missing plan. I have 2 1/4 scale kits here but I suspect the 80” one will be more manageable.

    I have part 1 of the free pull out plan for the Piper Tri Pacer. I’ve spent the last couple years searching for the January 2000 issue with no luck. I am not interested in the mag, just the pull out plan. If anyone is willing to part with the plan, and ship it to Canada, please let me know. I’ll be happy to pay something for the plan and cover the postage.

    I am afraid I don’t know anything about our RCAF yellow. I always assumed it was RAF trainer yellow. I’ll do a little research later. IPMS Canada might be able to help. I must comment that this forum uses the English “colour” as I was taught in school. I was shocked when I got my first computer and found the only spelling it accepted was the American “Color”. I had no idea there were 2 ways to spell it.

    I’ve long wanted to do a Tomtit. Being Canadian I’d do the Canadian one. Looking at other period photographs of R.C.A.F. Aircraft the overall colour comes out very dark. These training aircraft were always painted yellow with a black cowling. I’ve long believed the Tomtit were silver when they arrived from England but at some point were repainted RCAF yellow. What I am less sure about from David’s photos is the colour of the cowl.

    Thanks for that Charles. I’d searched for day-glo in the past and could only find Humbrol. I could not afford to buy enough tiny tins to do an rc model. Super nice chipmunk by the way. The level of detail makes it look much larger than 69”.

    T31M build log

    I always knew Peter had done an 86” T31M but no matter how I searched the Sarik website over the years I could never find it. So I’ve been following this thread with interest. I reread the whole thread last night then did another search. As usual the only one that came up was a little one https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/slingsby-t31m-47/

    Well tonight the light bulb finally came on. First I read the fine print, then I realized the 47” wingspan they list is actually the fuselage length. I have to wonder how many other people were confused by this. I’ll be ordering a plan and short kit shortly.

    I haven't decided on a winter project yet but this one caught my eye **LINK**

    With the MW prefix I assume it was presented in the Model World Magazine. I was wondering if anyone knew the date it was published. I'd really like to find the back issue and read it before deciding weather to build of not. It is a really convenient size.
