  1. Hi I cut a lot of wings from 3 meters up to 7 meter span. I use a bow of 48in in length powered by one of them donut transforms can not remember what it is called but it has 2 25v out puts that can be made in to 50v. I only use 25v and go straight to the bow.I can control the temp by moving the wires closer together along the bow.the wire is from a old 1950s heater.Edited By Roo Hawkins on 19/12/2018 10:58:36

  3. The grob acro is a great model I had one myself a few years ago but I would not go for edf I would use again f.e.s instead a lot easier to do and cheaper. Plus you get more power and flight times per battery. A lot of full size gliders are using fes now including the grob so it will be still scale. A folding propeller and a 1000 watt motor .Edited By Roo Hawkins on 12/12/2018 11:22:51
  4. Yes it did look like winter wonderland in the workshop after it was carved. The fuz is that big you can get in easy and pick it out. My ash 31 fuz in another thread on this forum will have petrol tipped in to it to melt it out. I have not decided on the power plant yet but it will be a petrol engine I think it maybe a 35cc? ??????.Edited By Roo Hawkins on 12/12/2018 11:08:37 Edited By Roo Hawkins on 12/12/2018 11:09:30 Edited By Roo Hawkins on 12/12/2018 11:10:56

I have started a grob 109 moter glider it will be nearly 1/3 scale at just over 5metes span . i am doing it when I have a gap in building other gliders. the fuz is lost foam and is 2 meters long. it is carved out of foam and glassed with epoxy and twill glass. if I need carbon it will be added later.
