Hi l am building a budget chipmunk at around 80in span. It's built out of foam and covered in veneer. I copied a seagull models one down at the club. But did not size the undercarriage legs and wheels. I will not be down at the club for a bit and might not see the member with the chipmunk. So can someone please help with the size.

Hi I was thinking about building the 70 in spitfire from the free plans. I think I saw some where that someone built one with a 5045 600kv motor in it. But can not find the article know. I was wondering because I have one kicking around the workshop. And was wondering if it would power it ok or not.??????

I think yes it is about dead. I have been flying for more than 20 years but the last 2 years have been so hard. I am going to give it this year and if I feel no better life will be giving up. I have also started windsurfing again after a long break and it is less stressful. But I will store my gliders away and see what happens in later life.

There's a data protection laws to think about if the bmfa share information about members. But I think members whould give permission. It is sad that they are modellers who have no way of signing the bmfa pro has they have no email or use a computer. -

Hi I have just found this post. I use a lot of blue foam. I purchased a pack of blue foam last August of 75mm. The last 2 packs they had but they were having 100 sheets in the next week. This is sig in Bedford. Dow are now doing it only in a grey colour and it has a different name can not remember what. Sig will only do it in £250 order. I only have 2 sheets left. Pink foam seem to have been stopped being made apart from the stuff on the back of plaster boards .

Hi I cover all my large scale gliders in sign vinyl I know that you can get aluminum look vinyl. I did my Slingsby t53 in it. You can stick it on in panels you can not use it on open frame work only on sheeted. I will see if I can find photos Edited By Roo Hawkins on 06/02/2019 17:13:47 -
