  1. I bought a roll of transparent red covering film from Hobbyking. Excellent price and all reviews I’ve seen have been pretty good. However I am struggling to get the backing film off. There is no overlap and have spent 20 minutes so far and getting very frustrated. Used a scalpel, pin, small file to fry ans get some grip. Does anyone have any secret tips. thanks Martin
  2. I'm looking to build a DV11 from Plans, ideally something to suit a nice Saito 56, Can anyone recommend a good plan from outerzone or Aerofred that they know flies well? thanks Martin
  3. Hi Martin This is a scratch build and I have already cut the ribs
  4. Hope someone can help with this one. I am building a Solane Bullet and the wing ribs are curved on top and bottom. Therefore the bottom spars will not be touching the work surface and cannot therefore be pinned down. How can I ensure accuracy or is it a case of fitting the top spars first? even then how can I be sure the whole thing is straight? any help appreciated. Thanks
  5. Thanks Jon are there general cleaning tasks or anything else I should be doing whilst its apart?
  6. I plan to strip down and service a couple of old 4 stroke glow engines. What actions should I take to service and clean and what should I be looking out for when carrying this out? thanks Martin
  7. Paul - the engine was unused but I have been using it for about 40 flights. Ken- a valve spring had broken and the valve was bent and dropped into the cylinder. have ordered a new valve assembly and hope that fixes the problem.
  8. thanks Martin. So I should be ok just placing that bearing back without having to buy a new camshaft?
  9. 1st pic is the crankshaft - looks ok to me (I hope) 2nd pic - one nd of the cam shaft and next to it a bearinf that was loose under te4 cam shalft cover 3rd pic - the other end of the cam shaft with a bearing fixed in it and the pic below which is the cam shaft recess and that bearing was loose in there. New camshaft as well or drop that bearing back in?
