  1. Hello Mike, as regards the cowl, I'm still thinking about it, a bit more shaping may well occur, and yes, I'm planning a cicular air intake below the motor, although secular work will now, sadly, intervene for the next few weeks
  2. Hi Mike - Thanks! I've got a Turnigy 3542 brushless motor. As this is my first build I've studied a lot of J60 threads, it seems to me that the cowl is open to interpretation. I've gone for a longer nose. I had iGULL make me a beautiful ply motor mount (see earlier photes) sadly due to inexperience/incompetence in positioning this has been hacked and fettled to fit....not a pretty sight.
  3. The cowl. Kind of pleased - ish with the way it's coming on
  4. After 24 hrs of drying I found the basswood rib I had added was as true as a nine bob note!
  5. So, I decided to strengthen the wings with a ply dihedral brace....
  6. Motor mount arrived this a.m. - custom made by 'iGULL' (Neil Gillies) Super fast turnaround and it fits like a glove! Beautiful work!
  7. David - Thanks, again. I'm about to start on the wing, maybe I'll get the chance to do some work over the weekend, I'll let you know. Hope you have a good weekend too!
