  1. Hi John Many thanks for the instructions, I do have a set from Outerzone but they have seen better days and yours are so much clearer (Outerzone might be pleased to have yours!). Thanks for your trouble.
  2. Hi Geoff You've got a couple of months on me, mine's May, but Happy Birthday for January! I take your point about just looking at the bit I'm working on, good point. I'll probably finish up doing both to have the best of both worlds. All the best!
  3. Hi Geoff, Thanks for the tip, it rather looks as though what I have is probably a forerunner of the Premier Kit. I'm happy to stand the expense of getting the whole thing printed full size as there maybe minor (or even major) differences that a full size print might help with. Many thanks!
  4. Thanks Nigel, bit of a story attached to this. I'm 83, pushing 84 and I had to give up flying about four years ago as balance probs meant I couldn't stand up to fly, sold all my gear. Worst day of my life, I held A & B certs and was a club examiner and instructor at one point but, hey, life and age catches up! Faced with another boring winter and having found the kit on FB I thought, heck, I can sit at a table and cut and stick. What the heck I will do with it if or when I finish it I've no idea but maybe keep your eyes on the 'For Sales'! Thanks for your help my friend.
  5. Hi Nigel Thanks so much for the info, the kit box carries the address which is indeed in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. As mentioned I have downloaded the Premier plan and there are parts discernable on it that show a remarkable resemblance to items in the kit🙂 so I'm off to the print shop to get blown up! Thanks for taking the trouble to respond, much appreciated!
  6. Hi Peter, Yes,have already checked most of the plans services and I have downloaded the plan you refer to. I think I'm on a hiding to nothing with this as it is a kit plan I'm after which reduces the chance of finding one quite appreciably. Still, who knows, there may yet be someone out there who has a copy tucked away! Many thanks for your response, much appreciated!
  7. Hi Guys, Can anyone help? Just bought at a very nice price a 66" span Tiger Moth kit....unfortunately without plans. Kit is old, was made by Inman Olympic Balsa Products Ltd (now defunct) and carries a Pegasus logo on the box(but not the same logo as the current company). Happy to pay a reasonable amount either for plan or a copy.
  8. Thanks Jimmac, had a similar problem with veneer lifting and wondered if you had a magic solution! Did the same as you with a syringe and PVA but PVA does expand the veneer a bit. Thanks anyway!
  9. Hi Jimmac, apologies to everyone if I've crossed the line a bit on this question but I see in your post that you were sticking some veneer back on a foam wing. Can you please tell me how you did it? Was it a complete strip job or did you use a hypodermic, if so what adhesive did you use? PM me if you feel that I have hijacked the thread because I would like to know what success you've had. Thanks, Doug.
  10. Thanks Nigel, yes, I will stick with the OS F. It does the trick which is all I am concerned with at the mo but the info you have given is useful so..thanks!
  11. Hi Pete, I guess there are two aspects involved, a longer reach ( which it is with the os f) and a hotter plug to keep it all burning nicely. Nigel R in the previous post said he wondered how it would perform with a warm or hot 2 str plug, well I don't know whether the os8 is a hot plug but it seems to be the recommended plug for that engine. Unfortunately, it didn't work with the engine inverted so with everything up and running with the os f I'm going to stick with it!
  12. Nigel, how did I guess that someone would raise that question! Maybe I will try it sometime but having spent so much time on getting the thing properly operational (not to mention the hassle of removing the cowl.. remote glow) I am very happy with the status quo and would like to enjoy flying the thing before I muck about with it again! If I ever try I will post again! Cheers!
  13. Well lads, I am sure you will be pleased to know that I have no idea what worms taste like! I sort of had a feeling that it was the flame being put out (as stated the engine is inverted), but wasn't sure what to do about it until CP mentioned a bar plug. I couldn't find my bar plug so I put in an OS F st plug and....bingo! A literal gnats whisker on the slow end (a bit leaner and I'm talking blowing on it) and she now runs up, down, sideways and whatever on tickover and full throttle. Also instant pickup on whacking the throttle open. I do really appreciate all of your input lads (I assume there are no lassies out there, shame really!) The ability to throw your problems at other people and gain ideas and inspiration from replies makes the forum a Godsend. Thanks to you all!
