  1. Thanks all for your help. The width between the bearers is about 2.5mm greater than the crank case so I made up a couple of spacers to make sure the engine was straight in the mount and then drilled 3mm holes and screwed in M3.5 machine bolts. Once bolted in I removed the spacers and it seems to be fine. I would have liked a the holes to be more in the centre of the bearers but I don’t think the engine is going anywhere. Thanks again for your help. Martin
  2. Hi all A bit of advice please. I am just coming to the end of assembling a Seagull Arising Star as my first ARTF for many years. The instructions say to drill 2.5mm holes in the engine mount bot the lugs on my engine have 3.7mm mounting holes. Is this okay as it seems to me that there will be a degree of slop using 2.5mm bolts in angines with 3.7mm mounting holes. Also, if I do drill out to 3.7mm the this will be right at the edge of the mounting bearers. Engine Is an OS46 AXii. Thanks for your help. Martin
  3. Amazon U.K. are showing 2 in stock but with a fairly steep deliver charge
  4. Hi All I am returning to RC aircraft after a break of around 20 years! During this break I got my PPL and also played with RC helicopters (Trex 550 & 700) so I am not completely inexperienced. Just purchased a Seagul Arising Star which I will partner with my old OS 46 LA which I started up a week ago after a long period of hibernation. I know it is not the best engine but I have it and it runs fine. Look forward to asking lots of daft questions in the coming months
