Tough love, model aircraft. Onwards and upwards.
I wasn't crying. 😉 If you buy off the shelf models you can expect them to fly. If you build your own experimentals you never quite know what's going to happen, but it's much more fun and your learn more in the process.
It was easily repaired and hopefully I'll sort the issue that caused it!

The Twin Fusi cheapo Lidl foam chuck glider RC conversion, my no.9 build, finally took to the air.Very briefly. 🤨

The build has not been without it's problems, especially balancing the motors. That issue warranted its own video. But my twin fusi Lidl RC version is now ready to fly!PS I corrected the spelling of 'fuselage', but Facebook hasn't caught up yet. 😞

A drop of white glue also does the job.
Some good ideas here!

Or shorten a modelling pin with a round head and glue it in, giving a spot-on position and scarcely discernible but easy to pick up “blind” and realistic for using two fingers to balance.

Why didn't I think of that! 🙄

My first Lidl glider build was EDF on top , second twin boom prop pusher Venom , third maidened on Wed this week, twin boom Venom EDF, too early after just one flight for full report but fantastic glide, ended up 40 yards overshoot past end of strip so promising
They are great fun for converting, 9 made now! I didn't have a lot of success with my twin boom prop pusher, still trying to get it to fly well. Watch this space.
Have you tried biplane? That was a challenge.

I always calibrate any new ESC with the TX as soon as I get it, that way when I plug it in it should "just work" when it's installed. Takes seconds, but saves on snafus like this.
PS - Model inside, twin motors running with props on, held in just one hand one hand arm outstretched, pointing at a camera... What could possibly go wrong?!!
Yes, a good idea. I have never bothered as they have always just worked up until this time. I will in future you can bet!

Twin mustang ,two batteries for balance I built a few years ago had me stumped until I slaved one throttle , should work with identical ESCs . One motor started a fraction later, but not noticeable in the air.
Unforunately not a matched pair of ESC's. That would have been better. Matched pair of motors though..

My latest RC build turned out to be a real challenge, though I got there in the end after many hours of searching and frustration. Took a good few hours to figure it out, but I learned something anyway. 😔.

May I ask please, are the wings completely flat or encouraged to form an aerofoil like shape by the fuzelage ?
If not I assume the depron/foam board le and other edges rounded ?
Thanks
Hi Rich, both my Mini F22 and full size version are also just flat 5 mm foam board.

When you consider the cost of them they really must represent the best 'bang for your buck' , half a sheet of depron, a tube of glue, two 9 gram servos, a indoor rx and a 1300mAh 2 or 3 cell pack and a motor and you can do high alpha slow passes all day long!
Dead cheap! This one here is my own Mini version of the bigger Flight Test F22 so it'll come out of an A2 foam board sheet. I scaled down their plans to 25% with Adobe Acrobat, PLUS I simplified the original nose to make a really simple and lighter build.

They are great fun.

My Mini F22 , amazing the difference a motor change makes.

My Lidl RC conversion No. 9, the Twin Boom version, is making good progress AND the motors have now arrived so I can finish the job. Part 2 AND THE MAIDEN SOON!

My Lidl chuck glider RC conversion Biplane had a windy outing again after a few trim changes. Wanted to see if it would loop!Build blog and earlier test flights are on my channel. Biplanes are complicated!

I pushed the boat out and bought one of these cheap, (£14 😟) , EPP SU30's for a bit of fun. Differential steering and height controlled by throttle. Wasn't expecting much success really, the last cheapo EPP was uncontrollable. Was this one any better?

Very affordable receiver, £5 delivered. I've used a few of these in lightweight stuff and they do the job! Just 2.6 gms. My video shows how to solder the pins and how to bind.

My Lidl chuck glider 'Spitfire' RC conversion gets a new look.Build blog for the Lidl Spitfire is also on my channel.

A windy day, but my snub nose Lidl RC conversion managed to have a lovely test flight. It was QUICK! Details of my motor/prop/lipo etc. are on the video. This build was my 1st Lidl conversion made a couple of years ago and it was a bit scruffy, hence I made some changes to it including the battery stowage and the nose. I've done 9 conversions now. All on my channel. Twins, Biplane even EDF.

A low budget day! Nice little outing for 2 of my Lidl RC conversions. The Lidl Spitfire and the Lidl Biplane. PLUS 2nd flight for the EPP Tech One Mythos, a cheap foamie that flies like a dream!
£2.79 drone from Temu! Was it worth the money?
