  1. Seeking New Members Clent Soaring Association Radio Control Model Flying Club Clent Soaring Association has now been running for over 40 years and was originally set up as a slope soaring club based on the Clent Hills. We now fly exclusively on a flat flying field and incorporate gliders, electric fixed-wing models, electric helicopters and multirotors/drones. The club is based in a quiet, picaresque farmland setting near Hopwood, Worcestershire - just south or Birmingham. The field features a well-maintained mown patch/strip that allows ROG launches. The field is available 7 days a week and has vehicular access to the flying area. The club also runs indoor flying meets at a local halls. We are currently seeking to increase the number of active flyers in the club and would welcome new members of any experience level. 2. Posted by Andy Meade on 17/04/2019 10:00:56: Hi Gareth - do you still do any soaring competitions or winch / bungee flying? Reasonably local here just north of Evesham. Hello. Thanks for reply. We have run soaring competitions when we had a slightly larger field but not recently. Most of the current members have switched to electric gliders but winch/bungee is still fine if anyone wants to use them.
  3. Posted by Dwain Dibley. on 17/04/2019 10:25:42: Hello Gareth, just checked your web site......Looks like s great field. What is the access like for a transit van. I am quite local in Stourbridge. Looks like a nip down the M42 ? D.D. Hello. There are some narrow roads around the fields but farm vehicles manage to pass so transit should be ok.the field itself will be no problem - wide farm gate and a gentle slope up to the parking area. In winter when the field is too wet to drive on there is an area of hard standing near the entrance to the field - just means a longer walk to the patch.
