  1. Please has anyone any experience or knowledge of updating this radio system using an Apple Mac OS MacBook Pro laptop? Futaba only appear to mention only Windows software in their internet published information. Thanks Chris
  2. Good Evening Glider Flyers After 30+ years of service I have just confined my 30M 8mm Surgical Tube Bungee to the 'bin'. Please can anyone suggest a likely site/supplier for replacing this type of tubing at a reasonable cost? I have searched around on the net but so far i have failed to find a suitable source. SW
  3. Thanks for the speedy response to my post, very helpful too. Having just left 35Mhz behind, well almost, I'm on a steep learning curve with regards to 2.4 Ghz kit. regards SW
  4. I've recently purchased The Futaba 2.4 Ghz T6L basic TX plus the R3106GF Receiver. Please can anyone suggest a suitable compatible receiver that would also work with this set up? Looking on the Hobbyking site for instance just adds to my confusion about the choice of cheaper RXs avilable! SW
  5. I have a Bowman's Sunduster once powered by an ED Bee. I would like to convert the Sunduster to Electric Power. Can anyone suggest a suitable set up and motor size for this 72" floater please? SW
  6. Returning to aeromodelling after a long lapse I have commenced building a small (43" Parkflyer type as a 'restarter' project. I'm a bit puzzled as to what best to use as a lightweight modern covering - I did use Solafilm/tex some years ago but really relied upon Tissue and Dope a lot. I still have a small iron and heat gun. Any suggestions/tips from more up to date modellers would be welcome please? SW
  7. Many thanks Percy for such a prompt reply. Upon closer examination of the Skyleader TX it does appear that this particular model held 2 x 4.8v Nicad batteries (there are two plastic 'straps' in the shape of 4 cell AA packs. I owned a Fleet 35Mhz set up (circa early 1980's) and I do know that had two 4.8v Nicad packs in the TX, but I believe that the charging system differed to the Skyleader units. I'll be patient for a while and see if a knowledgeable person online can help me, failing that I will contact Mike Ridley as you kindly suggested. Thank again Chris Coe
  8. Hi I'm an older radio modeller having just acquired the above R/C TX and RX. It appears in very good order but the TX is minus the two 4.8v Nimh batteries. Please can anyone advise about wiring in new units. There are 3 wires loose in the TX: Blue, Red and Green. No signs of the dreaded black wire issues. I'd like to attempt to restore this to useable condition. I also have a Skyleader charger. Hoping for a response. Thanks Chris Coe
