  1. Well at the weekend I had a successful 2nd maiden flight with this warbird, bit shaky to start, got her trimmed and flew a few circuits then the ESC cuts out and managed to glide her onto some heather, the ESC was very hot and had cut out before my battery alarm sounded, I have now added ventilation into the cabin to keep it cooler I hope, also with this plane I have had to add 45gms of lead to the nose to get the correct cog, hence the 2nd maiden, lol, a couple of pointers there if you are thinking of buying this beautiful warbird, hers a pic of the cooling vents.
  2. Ok here's how the 1st jet ended up Here's the next jet project nearly ready
  3. Thanks for all the input, I've gone for the Mirage, it will be in the air quicker
  4. This could be ideal for a transplant https://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/aircraft/edf-jets/kits/top-gun-park-flite-mirage-2000-edf-electric-jet-airframe-kit What do you think
  5. Thanks for the info, the EDF is a 64mm Dr mad thrust 12 blade 3300kv on 4s, the plane was a Freewing Stinger mk2
  6. Hi guys, after recently destroying my foam jet I was thinking of building one from scratch using balsa etc but I cant find any, can anyone recommend anywhere, it's for a 64mm EDF unit?, thanks
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome, I have just joined at Chobham common ,its a huge area, not built up at all, going in the morning for my first flight at the club
  8. Hi all, newbie here, well almost, I remember going with my Dad to Chobham Common about 40 years ago to watch the rc aircraft, I have always had an interest in flight since then, I did build a few, well 3 in total around 20 years ago, a Wot4, a Yamomoto & another balsa & tissue plane with an os40 4 stroke, glow engine and tried to go it alone , and we all know where they ended up. Since then I have amounted 5000 hour on a PC flight simulator & am now the COO of virtual Air Canada, I have also piloted a Cessna 152 for an hour or so, I thought I would give rc planes another go, so I purchased a powered glider & have flown this quite a few times recently & it is still as new, I have now purchased a Durafly Tundra as an upgrade & yesterday I had my maiden flights with no probs & will be joining a club soon.
