Dremel 3D20, UL rated CE marked, signed off by Bosch engineering (Bosch own Dremel) fully enclosed, suitable for school or work place use. Leave it running all day and night.
Can be bought S/H on Ebay for £150.00, just put the filament in and it works 'plug and play'

Why limit your scope for an ideal? It’s akin to cutting off your nose to spite the face and achieves nothing.
By definition you have to limit your scope to reach an ideal, particularly if your ideal is an aspirational high one.

The expected border chaos at the ports
What chaos? and whose expectation? no significant reports of this happening.

Servo's
Hitec are made in both the Philippines and Korea.
Motors
Leomotion some of their motors are Swiss made
Esc's.
Not sure if Jeti are made in Europe but quite likely on higher priced items.
Like I say to my wife, if it is cheap then it is not made in Europe.

Robin, when they flew the Aerostars for the last time at Sandown Park my nephew was one of the flyers and did in fact acquire some of the Aerostars which he may still have ?. I did meet the chap who organised the original displays including the one at the Wembley Cup Final, and he explained that with the safety and insurance issues that crept in it made it too difficult to arrange future contests. He told me that even Jimmy Greaves wanted to 'have a bash' at flying C/L at Wembley !.
I bet your nephew did not mention the fly away, it went from one end of the arena to the other and up out of the stadium before crashing in front of one of the goals, all in front of the Queen.
Peter Drennen owned Wonder Wings in it's dying days and Jim Caroland was the display organiser. Hammersley one was one of the regular pilots.

True...a great mag, but not everyone on here ( the whole world can visit etc. ) is a Bmfa member....
I suppose the clue could be in the name, RCM and e...
Can't find a free flight section either....real skill needed for that.....
