  1. Hi In respect of Brian Taylor, someone has just recommended his plans to me from the LMA forum Their post read: "Try 'Brian Taylor'..........all WW2 subjects & most, if not all of his models are between 60 and 90" span, and between 10 and 20lb in weight. No e-mail or website, so you'll have to call on 01460 65694 I know he's currently 'scaling down' his plans/cowls/canopy sales, so not 100% sure what level he's still operating at..............but his models are as good as they get as goes 'scale accuracy'". Hope this helps
  2. Hi All irons either domestic or modelling when used with modelling films will often pick up the colour around the cut edges of the film. Its actually the coloured adhesive from the back of the film which is oozing out and marking the iron. You can stop this by simply laying a Kleenex tissues on the film and ironing over the top of the tissue. Any residue will then stick to the tissue and not the iron. You can also fold the tissue into a pad and do the same which then act as a thermal control by virtue of how many layers and also help stop the bruising from the iron (and heavy hands) on soft balsa edges. To clean the iron allow it to get hot which re- melts the adhesive and scrub with a thick pad of tissue, any stubborn marks can be removed with a bit of cd cleaner or nail varnish remover, be very careful as these are flammable. Hope this helps
