  1. Quick update for anyone just looking in. the Mossie is still going strong and flying regularly along with many of Electrifliers fantastic creations. I am the very grateful current guardian of Electrifliers creations Mossie, Texan, Hercules and Vulcan and they all get flown regularly.
  2. Just a quick update for anyone re reading this thread the Texan and Mossie Roy (electriflier) kindly created for me are still alive and well and flying regularly and Roy has also kindly given me custody of his awesome Hercules and 100 inch span Vulcan which are also flying regularly. cheers Phil.
  3. Hi Dennis, unfortunately the only exploded view is the one on the front of the box, I’ve a few projects to finish then I’ll have a go at putting one together. I’m thinking of building one for my Grandson, he’s only just turned 1 year old so I’ve got a bit of time to work it out 😀😀
  4. I have inherited a couple of Saturn Models Apprentice kits which appear to be intact but do not have any plans or build instructions. I wondered if anyone has any knowledge of Saturn Models or the Apprentice kit or how I could track down a plan. Thanks in anticipation. Phil.
  5. It was a true reflection of what an utterly nice bloke Geoff was that so many turned up to see him off and a great touch that he went out to the music from 633 squadron. Fly high Geoff it was a pleasure to know you.
  6. I only got to know Geoff through meeting him at the model shop but he was the type of guy who soon became a friend. He was a smashing bloke with great enthusiasm for our hobby and it's been my great privelage to know him. I will be taking a packet of hobnobs into the shop tomorrow where we will raise our coffee cups in his memory. Sleep tight mate and happy landings.
  7. Absolutely fantastic. An incredible build and a joy to watch.
  8. Posted by MattyB on 16/05/2016 20:00:20: Posted by Philip Rawlinson on 16/05/2016 19:50:30: Thanks again for the pictures Roy. And Matty a club mate took some video bit had problems with his camera hopefully there will be some he can salvage and post. Very frustrating as I would love to see it fly myself rather than clenching my buttocks flying it. Does it have some tricky characteristics then (I've seen a few Mossies that were a handful due to those narrow tips) or is it just the "man hours" effect adding additional nerves into the mix? To be honest Matty it's gorgeous to fly it's just me that is still a bit scared of it. It was only the second flight and I haven't done much more than a few circuits and land. I still need to pluck up courage to slow it down and see if it has any nasty habits. I think it's testament to the quality of Electriflier Roy's buildings skills that it has needed no more than a couple of clicks of trim.
  9. A snippet of video of the mossie from 8 minutes 25. Thanks Brian. https://youtu.be/yCSawy12O7c
