  1. Don't trust your wife when she is in charge of the instructions....... Check and check again!!
  2. Thank you for your posts, I will check the threads as suggested and well done Birdy for getting your wings without parental financial assistance!!
  3. My handle is a dead give away of how lucky I am in winning anything ever! Promise I will change my handle if I win this Seagull Texan kit - worth a try!!
  4. After several years not actively involved in flying my son is now pressuring me to get take it up again. This was to be expected as I’ve promised him several years ago that we’ll take op the hobby once he turns 10. Needless to say, he did just turn 10 and did not forget the promise.  I use to fly 40 size IC planes. The 40 size low wing is still stored in the loft, there is even a 60 size J3 Cub boxed awaiting assembly.  I am confident that I kept myself current as I’ve kept on honing my skills on the Easyfly Flight Simulator.  Technology has subsequently moved on and electric powered is surely an option to consider. I have started reading up on the topic but found it to be quite confusing i.e. motor size, ESC, battery size and type. Needless to say finding a not too expensive electric training aircraft is a nightmare. I must say that the Seagull Pioneer reviewed in the March RCM&E looks like a nice prospect.   I have the following questions :  What is to be recommended as a reasonably priced 40”-60” training aircraft? What is the recommended electric motor spec for the aircraft. What ESC id to be used ?What battery pack is recommended. Eagerly awaiting your responds
