Thanks MattyB. I have tracked that the foam is EPO. It needs to attach the plastic to foam and of course in the channel. Do I use Foam Tac or do I need a different glue? I have just started in this hobby so don't have a glue kit or anything yet.

I have a brand new Eflite Apprentice STS and the rear stab is secured by very small self tapping screws. If I screw in a small amount the plastic in the foam channel is not secured, if I screw to max and put lots of force on, it's still not secured properly. I have removed the stab and screwed the screw in outside the model and it doesn't go in fully, I assume by design, by they are not particularly long. The only solution I can think is glueing the plastic on the rear stab down and the plastic in the channel. Any recommendations? It just seems that this is under engineered design and likely to fail.
