  1. HiTed, Don't be despondent about charging/using these batteries. it's just like not smoking when you are filling the car or lawn mower with petrol. Learn the rules first and there will be no problems if you obey them. Brian
  2. Hi Ted, These batteries are like explosives, treat them right and everything is great, get it wrong and you will have a story to relate. There are special rules to be followed and learn them before you try to do any charging. If you go to Puffin Models website there are charging details which I found to be very good and if you have any diffs., John Emms is more than helpful. As you will be advised from many sources do not charge li po's unattended and not on a combustable surface,I do mine on the concrete garage floor after seeing one go wild. Good luck Brian
  3. Chessiegolf,Thank you for this and I will carefully monitor performance of the tyre pressure, they seem to be holding what they have OK but are a little on the soft side causing some distortion.
  4. I have just installed my first set of Dubro inflatables and when the supplied valve unit is screwed into the tube there is a plain brass tube ,3mm dia and 5mm long protuding for introducing air-----------------using what? I have tried connecting several inflators to no avail, anyone got the answer please?
  5. Colin, I have one of these models and I can echo the nasa comment about lack of glue. The fus is made from a very flexible wood, not balsa, over ply formers and there are no longerons. So all the strength is reliant on the junction between the two and glue is not greatly in evidence. If you buy one my advice is to use low settings for the control surfaces initially and to strengthen the area from the back of the wing well to the firewall with corner blockings. You may be luckier than me and produce greaser landings but on my last flight I went deadstick and tipstalled at very low speed from about 2mts up and the entire front collapsed which is how I found out about the structure. Back together again though and weather permitting airborne again tomorrow. rehards, Brian
  6. I have just installed my first set of Dubro inflatable wheels and these come with a small brass valve unit for inflation. When screwed into the wheel there is a 3mm dia pipe protuding about 5mm which has a plain surface ----------------- for connection to what? Anyone have any experience of these wheels and more importantly how to get air into them.
