Hi all I wonder if someone out there may be able to shed some light on a model I recently picked up at wings n wheels It a 48" artf spitfire, 3/4 channel  electric looks like a 600 brushed motor (says JEI on it and 12 volt ) and gearbox , plastic fusalage, foam wings,rudder ,elevator .circa end of 2005 control wise its elevator ,ailerons,esc..the servos& esc are all powered ,wired to an open board.with the elevator servo mounted to the board via a couple of ally brackets .it also has a flight leveler similar to the HAL2000 in the underside of the wing and although only elevator &  ailerons installed there is also a socket for a rudder servo and an on/off switch on the side of the fuselage could anyone let me know what voltage pack to use and I use a JR radio but the rx does not respond to any input with a JR xtal in it or the original channel 70 rx xtal with a JR channel 70 tx in my tx  but the servos move if you move the flight leveller around.. I thought it might be a Ripmax but the ones around 2005 in the catalogue are different many thanks Colin H

I am trying to find bits/info etc about olympic sportsman and olympic super fli by olympic model aircraft maldon ltd  I cannot find any listing for them has anyone any magazine articles ?? I have aquirred a couple of fuselages and plans but I'm looking for more info on the wings as these are missing and need to be made,can I use this blue dupron foam advertised on e bay or has anyone got the wings for either of these models ??.also what is the best type of adhiesive for sticking balsa to polysterene ? thanks Colin

Hi I have also recently purchased a serenity rtf from a shop that was closing down it was heavily reduced so can't expect too much  however in the manual it says there is an arming button but on mine there isn't , I cannot get the motor to arm even with the throttle trim all the way down before power up ..rudder and elevator are fine and the motor is fine when power is applied directly ..can anyone offer some help ? does anyone have an older version with the arming button ? maybe I can solder one in ? thanks

Hi after many years away from modelling the plans of the simplex caught my eye (also my 4 1/2 year old son Daddy can you make ...etc) regarding the wing section which has gone fine (I made a metal former to cut the shape)I have made the ply stiffener at the wing centre section and will use fibre glass bandage for strength but you say about the leading and trailing edges are these reinforced with fibre glass or hard balsa ? I have made some mods using a gws 280 geared moter, slight nose re-design so I don't know how it will go yet ! Colin H
