I have started a new thread on my brand new Saito 100 .I can not get the think to tick over .Now with all the fiddling with the slow running jet I do not know where I am.Anyone know if I screw the slow running jet in how many turns will I have to unscrew the slow running jet our to be somewhere right I was told to get the slow running screw level with housing and screw it 1 and half turns in.Try that and the tick over is crap .Now I have messed it all up and want to start from scratch but fo not know what to do

Is a Saito 100 is around the 15cc to 20cc range ?

Thanks to everyone and again you were spot on Jon.The slow running screw was over a full turn to rich .I have the tick over reasonable now and the bad vibration has gone .It no longer shake the thing to bits 👍
-
I wish mine ran like that .My tickover us really lumpy and shake like mad I noticed the slow running screw is not flush .It stick a bit proud .So that means the tick over is a bit rich.Would this cause the lumpy tick over

Thanks John I brought a Seagull Gipsey Moth after my previous Gispsey Moth fell to a faulty Dx 6 transmitter.I decided to upgrade the new Gisey Moth and install a Saito 100 to give me a bit more power .Now the Saito 100 I brought is giving me grief .On tick over it just really knock and both the engine mount and engine bears can loose instantly .The old Gipsey Moth flew on a Laser 80 and flew very scae like .So I have dump the Saito 100 and installed the trusty Laser 80 in the Moth .What prop would recommend for the Laser 80 in the Seagull Gipsey Moth

Brought a brand new Saito 100 .It has been nothing but trouble .First I could not get it to tick over .Now I have sort off sorted the tick over but when it ticks over ther us so much vibration fro the Saito it shakes my model to bits and just comes loose due to the vibration .Gave up on it .Stuck the trusty Laser back in the model .Very disappointed with the Saito Starting to think I might just get rid of my ic models and go over to the dark side .No problems with all this crap setting the engines up and then getting covered in oil. Think it is going to be electric for me know .This Saito was the last straw with ic

Took my Saito 100 to the flying field today (installed in my model ) No intentions of flying it just wanted to set up the Saito has explained in this thread .Hit another snag .The Saito 100 is inverted .The engine would fire but would not start and it kept throwing the prop before it would start .I suspect it was getting fuel lock has the carp is below the centre line of the fuel tank .Had to give up due to the start battery and glow battery ran low .Spent tonight repositioning the Saito up right .Fingers crossed that will stop it locking up everything I try to start it

T Thanks Jon I found that very interesting and useful .You explained well After reading your instructions. I feel confident to tackle it now .I will run a few more tanks to make sure it is run in 👍

Thank Grumpy Gnome will do but I am layed up at the moment Just come home from hospital with a new knee replacement .Once I am able I post a video up

Just brought a brand new Saito 100 .I have I run it now with 3 tank full of fuel so it should be kind off run in .It does not tick over very well .It is an unven then cuts out .I am a bit reluctant to mess about with the slow running jet .It must of been set at the factory .Should I turn the slow running needle half a turn at a time clock wise or anti clockwise to get it turn over correctly ,?
