  1. Hey guys. I now have my two x 3s 4250ma wired in series, connected to 70amp ESC and 1100 watt motor.Set up isturning out 55amps at 1000watts on 13x8 prop (7min time). Getting alittle hot in the fuse so probably changing prop to 13 x 7. Spitfire weighs in at 2.9kg AUW. Shouldn't need too much full throttle here I'm thinking.Almost redy for maiden flight. Thanks again for help. Rick
  2. Many thanks Phil. Clear. I am going to solder up a lead based on your thread. The ESC is Hacker SB 70 prowith ferro ring fitted. Do you think that is sufficient?. At this stage I hope to not have to run a seperate flight bty. rick
  3. Phil, your thread on the deans set up looks acheivable to me. It seems to be saying that utilising that parellel connector will double milliamps. Will this also take me from 3s to 6s ? rick
  4. Hey guys Very informative dialogue regarding 3s 2xp. I am relatively new to Elekrickery but now have the opportunity to jump to 6s using my two Evo lite 4250ma(Kyosho Spit 50 EP). I would like to charge seperately but cannot work out the configuration of the Y or T lead? I usully use Deans plugs but are willing to change plug design if needed. Phil, you suggets leaving the harness in the plane and removing the batteries seperately but I am unsure of configuration and set-up f wiring. Any advice gratefully acepted. Rick
  5. I find the safest method is to tether model to the ground, run at maximum safe amps until battery shows first sign of fading, and set your timer to that. this will ensure a little extra time up your sleeve a landing que or flying at full power all the time. Skydive
  6. I think you have all sold me on this one. I now know what I want for my birthday. rick
  7. Replace brushed 480 with E-flite 480 outrunner, Hi-tech micro receiver, Dualsky 40 amp ESC, eflite micro servos. You will need to create an engine mount. Couple with 22ma lipo and this bird has plenty of torque with scale speed. Looks the part in the air and due to hand-launch, belly land, no under carriage looks even better. rick
  8. This little spit is a wonderful standard package. Scale speed with no bad habits (except the ground handling). Flown on 2200ma Li-Pos you get 10 mins full power. Not for the beginner. rick
  9. kelvin Yes, just as beautiful in the air. Thanks for link. I love that spitfire and I want one I have a 5yo son (although two of us share the load) so I understand about time. I have scammed half a day flying time tomorrow, weather is looking good so I plan to blow the cobwebs off my models for the first time in 5 weeks. yeehaa. rick
  10. Kelvin Many thanks for info on Ripmax Spit clone. By the way, how does yours perform? Please Keep me informed on the progress of of the 109. I shall try and get a look a at one in shops here. rick
  11. Hi Kelvin I have been looking for the Ripmax Spit here in Perth western Australia it seems they don't import that model here. maybe i will have more luck with thebf-109 , as she looks beautiful. What is her wing span and motor wattage? rick
