  1. These magazines are still available, they include some copies of Aeromodeller going back to the mid 50s as well as the RC magazines listed above. I need to get them gone to cleat some space.
  2. Sadly no longer have the Harley, sold my last one only a couple of weeks ago. Hope your son manages to find a space for you to store the magazines. I am finding it increasingly difficult to get in and out of the loft (also retired, plus bike injuries) and have lost my interest in model flying since not being able to participate in it any longer. As for a cover story, perhaps you could take a box or two of the magazine home with you, they are in A4 printer paper boxes which is about as much as I can carry down the loft ladder now.
  3. Junction 2 - is that Beaconsfield? That's definitely do-able, and I can probably drop in on my daughter & family afterwards. I once spent the night on the forecourt of the filling station there when my Harley decided not to go any further having ridden there from Copenhagen in one day. I had ridden across Finland and Sweden the day before as well!
  4. If it helps, I can meet you half way, then its only one hour each way for both of us.
  5. Good idea, if they don't go to a deserving modeller.
  6. My RCM&Es go back to 1970, as does Radio Modeller, Radio Control Model World goes back to the first edition which was January 1984. There are some gaps as I have been selling them on eBay, but it is really too much effort to continue. There are also some duplicates. Most of the full size plans are included, though not all of them. I have a few plans I have bought that I will include though.
  7. There's a wealth of knowledge in these old magazines, but I simply cannot store them anywhere I can access them any more, so if they are not passed on, they'll have to go into the recycling bin while I can still get them out of the loft. It seems a dreadful waste, though.
  8. I have a collection of over 1,000 R/C modelling magazines, which as I I have had to give up flying due to issues with my eyesight, are now surplus to requirements. Mostly RCM&E, but also including Radio Modeller, RC Model World, and some RC Scale (both the early quarterlies and the later bi-monthlies). Many of the magazines include full size plans. All are packed with useful information and a wealth of nostalgia from the likes of Peter Russell, David Boddington, and Alex Whittaker. Free to anyone able to collect from West Oxfordshire (near Witney).
  9. I have 38 copies of the RC scale quarterly/bi-monthly, mostly including plans. I have given up model flying due to eyesight problems, but would like my magazines to go to a good home. I also have hundreds of RCM&E, RC Model World and Radio Modeller magazines, many with full size plans, that I would like to move on. I have over 700 listed on ebay, but they sell very slowly and I doubt that I'll ever sell them all. Welcome to come and take what you need for a small consideration. Dave Smith, Witney, Oxfordshire.
