  1. Finished the re build on my old cub and cannot remember where the Cof G should be. Can one of you fine gents have a look at your plans and let me know the correct Cof G. Many thanks Rick
  2. Hi Myron....was thinking something on the same lines about the visablity issue. Also going to stick a dummy engine on it. With the 52 inverted I now have a full cowl with nothing sticking up. As far as the grunt from the 52 is concerned am intending just waft around with it...have plenty of planes for throwing all over the sky.... My best so far was my extreeme flight yak54 with a 30cc AMS petrol in it...changed over to a new tranny and didnt realise I had set it for 60% + expo....couldnt work out why it felt like I was always on the verge of crashing..only had to breathe on the sticks and the bloody thing was all over the place.. It wasnt until I put another model on the new tranny I realised what was going on.  Will get some pics done and put it on the site. Thanks Rick
  3. Have been watching all your posts about the cub with great interst. I have had mine over 12 years and it was my first trainer. I have flown all sorts of planes up to big petrol jobbies and this winter I am going to re furb my cub and was thinking of going down the 52 4 stroke route. Have seem one on u tube with a 52 4 stroke with a 11 x5 prop and it flies great.  So I am going to re engine mine with the same..was also thinking of fitting it inverted so its not sticking out in the breeze. This will be the third time its been re covered and this time I'm going for cub yellow. Really am looking forward to getting it back in the air and remember how well they fly..my best flight was a low pass slip streaming down the full lenght of the strip about 4" off the ground...
  4. Hope its about time my luck changed...could do with a win at something Regards  Deadwood
  5. Its about time I won something.....have never won anything in 55years....must be my turn for a win

  8. Has got to be: 1. JU87b Stuka (must be i.c) 2.  Constellation 3.  Blackburn mono plane (i/c) Fingers crossed we may get the Stuka as there are not many that have been done.
  9. Hi There. Anyone managed to get part christmas with this one? Would love to see some pics of how anyone is getting on so far. Will get around to building this after I have finished my 70" Stuka then finish off my top flite spit then try and maiden my top flite dc3 which has been gathering dust all ladst year. Spent so much time building with the crap weather last year never even got to the strip to do any flying. This year is going to be a flying year. Regards Deadwood
  10. Hi Dave. Thank for that...thought I was suffering major brain fade. Regards  Deadwood
  11. Hi Chris.  I had some great fun with the arising star when I first started flying. Best way to repair is to use some 1/8th ply from your local model shop and laminate it with some balsa to give you the same thickness as the original fuz. Dont worry it will be well strong eough, use the old damaged section(s) as a pattern and graft into onto the fuz. Good luck with the repair and get it flying again. Regards Deadwood
  12. Hi There. I'm having a senior moment the plans and rewiew are surpurb but where are the plans for the wings? Regards Dadwood
