  1. Hi Peter, Im starting to build my cap 21 again after a long lay off due to health, work and exams phew glad thats all over/ My question is how to build the wings with a accurate taper over the wing span? I went to build the wing flat to the building board then realised I wasn,t sure if this was the correct method. Thanks Paul
  2. That sounds great Danny I will have a look at it when I stop revising as the grey matter can only manage so much even with a gallon of coffee. Cheers Paul
  3. Hi Danny I would be interested in those links Plus Iv took on board about purchasing the plan and kit from the same company, thats a good point!!!
  4. Thanks again! I did order the plans from the other mag as im sure they own the rights etc to BT plans now. I think some cutters offer "part kits" and I wasnt sure if the "full kits" basically had everything in them< you dont know if you dont ask lol. Belair have kits left so it looks like I will go that route! Shes a find Danny!  Cheers Paul
  5. Hi Danny, I had a look at Bob Holmans site I should get a quote from them as I have a friend over there (US) who is itching to buy it for me as a presant!!!! I am so pleased to have read this thread as it has sorted out many headaches allready! Thanx  Paul P.S did you get the full kit?
  6. £85 pounds for cnc parts I would imagine that is a part kit for that price im also waiting for a quote from Bel air. I could go the USA route Kit Cutters etc they look pretty good value for money for full kits $300!

  11. Thats a bargain! I have started my motocrossing again and comparing parts prices and what you get for your money you cannot touch this Hobby/sport!
  12. Oh yes i agree! I  have spent twenty years racing motox and we all swear blind brand X is better than brand Y and jonny D. has had loads of problems with.................! im sure you get the picture i would get another SC probs a 4 stroke! so yes defo speak as you find! Paul
  13. Bruce , I will email you the pics as soon as i get chance!  Paul
  14. Peter, I made the comment about SC quality due to the examples at the club! out of 5 SC's, 4 have been a problem and 1 has been perfect althings being equal they are expierenced modelers to, we came up with qaulity control as been the culprit! My SC 46 had all the club mystified and when it cut out the last time i flew i didnt get it down due to lack of expierence. So a OS it was! We checked everything numerous times but to no avail ! Paul
  15. Hi Bruce, Yes i would like to sell it! one of the engine mounts (one hole) has broke off so its up to you? I can try and email a pick of it if you wish Thanx Paul
  16. Hi Peter! well i have got about 3 gallons of juice used up and i am on my 3rd plane which very nearly 'bit it' on Sunday much to the amusement of the lads. the wing moved on my trainer and it just went Kamikazi i did get it down and promptly called it a day lol Dont worry about crashing our field claims at least 2 planes a wkd(iv no idea if thats good or bad)! Its part of the game at least it only injures the pocket not like my last motox accident which got me a nice helicopter ride to hospital. I think SC suffers from quality control problems there either perfect or give trouble which novices cannot overcome! What plane do you fancy next? Paul
  17. I finally cured my SC46 problems.............i bought a OS 46 AX it runs perfectly everytime! lol and at 75 pounds i could not complain!
  18. Thanx spanner! i have replied to the wrong thread Doh! re sc46 constant deadstick!. i had constant problems with it from new so i bought a sc52 4st as a replacement but i have now changed it to a OS 46 AX so i can move my engines around! pity cos i love the 4st sound but i would have to radicly changed the mounting! and happy landings to

I heard a sayin to "three mistakes high"! thanks for your thoughts everyone! Paul
  22. Hi! I have posted this thread for myself and other newbies lol graduating from high wing trainers! so what does every one think for type of plane, size, wing type and cost etc
  23. Im sure i will she is a beutiful plane and you do get atached to them especially when you have built it yourself! Yes crashing planes is defo less painfull and the hobby is pretty light on the wallet compared to motox! i totaly smitten with it just need to get my sc46 running properly and it will be even better! Its nice to know the designer is available for questions and other exierenced flyers and builders to! What a great hobby this is!  Paul
