  1. Hi All,  have just taken delivery of a Black Horse Mustang P51 and have to say the build appears to be excellent. However (always an 'However') the instruction manual appears to be sparse in a number of areas. I plan on installing a 4 stroke ASP in this model and was expecting information, in the instructions, about optimum distance from the firewall to the prop drive washer for a 4 stroke. The instructions have a template for the instillation of a 2 stroke and shows a distance of 120mm for the setting of the 2 stroke.  Any thoughts on the appropriate distance at which the front of the engine should be set. (Other plans I have seen for a 4 stroke show a distance of appro. 135 mm to the prop drive washer) Many thanks in anticipation of all the good advice I know I will get on this forum.  Frank
  2. Hi Bruce, Thank you for the information and the advice.
  3. Hi all, daft question time. Can anyone throw some light on the best method of attaching an engine to the engine mount. I have seen some attached with self tapping screws. Some attached with bolts and nuts and some where the nuts were welded to the engine mount by heating the mount and forcing the nut into the hot material. I suppose it is down to personal preference. however not being used to metric sizes what size bolts shoult I use to secure a Thunder Tigre .40 to the engine mount. All advice and suggestions gratefully accepted. Frank.
  4. Thank you David for the advice and the telephone number.
  5. Have damaged the throttle arm on the 40 RMX engine. The Ripmax site is not showing any support for this engine. Anyone any ideas where I can get spare parts for this engine. Any suggestions will be greatfully received.
  6. Many thanks to all who have helped.
  7. Thanks Ernie, this has helped.
  8. please include me in this draw. What a wonderful gift this would be on my introduction to this great sport/hobby.
  9. Completely new to this sport and worried. Can someone, anyone, give the correct order of things concerning the position of parts from the engine out to the propellor. Starting with the spinner base plate. I think it goes spacer;base plate; and than I am stuck. I have a further spacer or facing plate ; the prop; the fixing nut and the Cowl. I think the cowl goes on last and is screwed to the large lugs on the base plate. What are the small lugs for.? Can anyone assist.?
