  1. I have problems remembering website addresses when reading mags in W H Smiths too Davor
  2. I've had the same thing happen to me, had to think back if I had been on after midnight, but I hadn't! Here's a thought, even if I don't win anything it is a great excuse for the wife "oh that new 2.4Ghz set, oh I won that in the raffle"
  3. Has anyone spotted a new E-meter yet or have any news on the rumours of a new version coming out?
  4. The point I was making is summed up by one question.............have the last two fly-ins at the Orme caused any trouble or upset anyone?  I think the answer to this is 'no', so that seems like a good formula with which to proceed.  Don't make things more complicated if you don't need to!
  5. I'm afraid if I went there I would be more interested in getting into my wetsuit and surfing the waves of Porth Neigwl on my longboard, definite conflict of interests!
  6. Ah but that is just plain cheating!
  7. I'm watching any response to this closely!  I have a 60" Eindecker half complete that I have been toying with using wing warping.  I have made it so that I can add dihedral if I decide against using warping but it goes against the grain to incorporate something non-scale (and ailerons are a definite no-no!).
  8. Thanks Lee. I'd like to say it is a vote but at the moment time is a precious commodity that seems to disappear all too quickly!  I can't promise being there (I was at the Orme the day after the first fly-in so advance planning isn't my best point!) Really though, for such an informal arrangement, the Orme or the like seem to be a better option.  For instance if the weather is poor it can be rescheduled, with no need to refer it to the committee!
  9. I've been watching this thread as I live near Wrexham and the Orme and Long Mynd are both quite local to me, however, when I followed Lee's link to the LMSA I remembered why I USED to be in a club but I'm not now!  In the first two lines of the reply to Lee's posting on the LMSA forum we had already had two mentions of 'committee' and one AGM'!  I don't know about you lot but this just makes places like the Orme so much more attractive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticising the more formal set up but it just ain't for me. We are all grown-ups and any reckless behaviour is soon stamped on.  Common sense is all it takes.
