  1. Hi,   I am totally new to elecs, i went out to a local diy store and picked up some solder its called Go Gas lead-free Resin Core Solder now am i right in thinking after reading a couple of threads that this is probably the wrong stuff to use? Advice would be appreciated....   Thanks
  2. Thanks, Here is an image of said engine mount. http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk/detail.php?JPNO=5508173&activepage=1&Navmain=Accessories&subcatname=Engine%20mounts Anyone else used one/not used one?
  3. Hi, I have recently purchased a Top Gun Javelin 2,  it its supplied with a metal engine mount & a two clamp bars, it tells you to use nut & bolt to clamp down the engine, so you don't actually put the screws in the engine holes. I have never seen this before, normally i just bolt the engine down with screws & nyloc nuts. Has anyone come across this? Its it ok/or should i purchased a different mount? Thanks Anthony
  4. Hello All, I have recently been given a Great Planes Tracer - Still boxed from about 1997? Has anyone had experience of this said model, i am currently flying a speed air and was wondering if this would be a good step up? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hi they are futaba s3003 servos, They didnt buzz in my other plane, i adjusted the aileron control rods and managed to stop that servo buzzing, but i still have the other three buzzing, i have adjusted the rods and moving the servo arm but i hadn't thought of moving the servo higher... don't know if this is pratical in the speed air, but will have a look tonight. So does the buzzing damage the servos or is it just draining the battery quicker?? Thanks
  6. Hi Eric Thanks, Its fitted with servo arms not discs, and the rod is slipping out of the servo arm, however and just has a thought of putting a z bend on the wire this would then stop it slipping and there would be no need for the clips.
  7. Hello All, I understand that the buzz from the servo is because of friction from the control rods. I am just setting up a Blackhorse Speed Air...The control rods are already installed just need to be cut to size and connected. The instructions say to bend the control rod a feed through the servo and then use those plastic clips to hold the rods in place. Now this is my problem, when the clips aren't on there is no servo buzz but the rods slip out of the servo arm when a put the clips on the buzzing starts...Has anyone any ideas to how i can get this to stop? All help would be appreciated Thanks
  8. Well from that response i can assume that the Seagull 40, isn't that good.  I have purchased a Bhorse Speed Air.
  9. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of the Seagull 40? I am looking for my first low wing i have my A cert, i know there is loads of threads on here already about 1st low wing and that the Travel/speed/?? airs from blackhorse all have good reviews, Just wondered about the seagull? Thanks
