  2. Thanks for reply timbo, the engine would be mounted approx 45 deg from inverted, when you say the throws or EPA may be wrong, what can i do to correct it?As i have a feeling this may be the problem but have not enough experience with these engines to be sure. many thanks
  3. HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP,I HAVE A SC 52FS ENGINE WHICH I HAVE JUST PUT IN TO A READY 2,THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I SET THE THROTTLE TRIM FOR THE ENGINE TO TICK OVER IT EITHER STALLS SO WHEN I INCREASE THE RPM THE PLANE TAXIS FAR TOO FAST.THERE SEEMS TO BE NO HAPPY MEDIUM(WHICH ALSO MEANS THAT LANDINGS ARE EITHER FAR TOO FAST OR ELSE DEAD STICK)VERY CONFUSED AS THE ENGINE GAVE ME NO PROBLEMS LIKE THIS IN MY DECATHALON CAN ANYONE HELP I HAVE TRIES 11X6 AND 11X7 PROP WITH SAME PROBLEM

hope someone can help me,i have just bought an sc52 4 stroke engine and have only used it for 6 flights, today i went to take it up for flight number 7 and it would not start?? but i have noticed that it has no compression, anyone any ideas and if so can it be easly repaired?as i say the engine is only new
  8. can anyone tell me where i can buy ic pusher props of around 8x8 or 8x9.i cant find anywhere please help or can i use a normal prop back to front???
  9. hello all, can anyone rate the weston magmum r with the 50 engine as i am thinking of buying one but would like to hear any comments on the plane before parting with the cash.
  10. just a quick question on how important do you all think it is to balance your lipos,i have got all different replys at my club ,who most only fly ic
  11. timbo where can i see the aerojet on the net, when i search i can only get a kids airhogs plane
  12. so could i put say an 8 x 9 prop on this engine and bolt it to a blackhorse superair and get a speed machine
  13. hello all,i mainly fly a fun jet along with some ic planes what i was wondering was,ive got an os 46 engine sitting here doing nothing and was wanting to put it in a model for A-OUTSTANDING VERTICIAL PREFORMANCE AND ACROBATICS OR B-FLAT OUT SPEED AS IM GETTING A BIT BORED WITH THE SPEED OF THE FUN JET AND WANT SOMETHING BALLISTIC, what do you all recommend i know i cant get a model for both so once i decide if its going to be A or B what can i buy????(for speed the only thing ive seen is the falcon 25 by gobrushless)
  14. take the wheels off it ,i have one it will make it a new plane.far better
  15. hello all and thanks for advice, just got my 52 fs through the post today,i have just bolted it to the test stand and it sounds sweet!!!
  16. thats what i thought,just ordered a sc 52 4 stroke. many thanks
  17. hello all,im a bit confused about so many people telling me different stories about engine makes.at the moment i have 2 os 46 engines which i have had no problem with so far(ive been told these are the best anyway)i am attracted to the price of the sc engines but have been told too many bad stories about these as well as thunder tiger.so i was just wondering if anybody could confirm these bad stories that may have owned any of these 2 engines so this also leads me to the question in your view what is the best VALUE FOR MONEY engine you can buy.
  18. hello i bought the power set seperate but the prop comes with the set,you just have to make sure you wire the motor the right way round, and put the prop on the right way round also.
  19. going on what shaun says,as a beginner how do i know if the engine is to lean(its sounds to be ok and its putting out a good bit of oil on to the wing after each flight)
  20. yes i do do the nose up test before flight and its ok i think ill try shortening the tube on the clunk a fraction and see if that makes a difference. timbo, with the rigid tube up the line does that not cause you problems when the fuel is down a bit when flying inverted?or is the rigid tube quite short and still allows the clunk the move freely?
  21. thanks for reply,i took the tank out of the plane and the clunk does touch the tank by a fraction but the hole in it is clear of the bottom(its only the edge of the clunk touching),the fuel level is probably about at about 1/2 when this usually happens.would it be an idea the put 2 clunks in the tank with a y connector?
  22. hello all, hope someone can help me.i have a blackhorse super with an os 46la engine in it,problem is everttime i start doing acrobatics with it the engine cuts.(most of the time 3-5 mins in to flight)this means i have to land dead stick everytime and as i am pretty much a beginner this is making me more and more nervous of flying.this have happened about 6 times now and everytime on closer inspection of the plane i can see that the fuel line is empty??i am pretty sure that the tank is plumbed correctly(1 line for the clunck which is moving freely inside the tank and 1 breather tube which is attached to the muffler)anybody any ideas????
  23. yes it does but not when throttle on full,it does it when you push in the throttle stick,if i do it your way it beeps and does not stop at all.
  24. thanks for both replys, eric, the throttle trim is fully down and chris it would not bind at a number of different places i tried, until i tried it at a local field and it worked, but when i brought it home im back to square 1.
