HI Guys Im fairly new to heli flyin but have got a fair bit of flying done on my twister medevac which i bought last christmas and fairly confident flying it.  I want to buy a new heli but have no idea whats out there! This time i'm looking for something bit bigger and powerful and for more predominantly outside.   I have been looking at some 3D helis and wondering how hard it is to learn aerobatics?   Just wondering if any you guys can assist me on helping me find sumthing suitable! ... i got a stick within a budget  (£100-£160) Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Rob.
  4. Hi Gwilym I bought a "twister bell medevac" a week ago.  RC heli flying was new to me and that was my first heli.  Im finding it a very stable machine to learn on and now im flying it all around my house! Very easy to learn on.  Depends entirely on how much your willing to pay.  I got mine for £99.99 from my local model shop. I have had a fair few crashes and stil in tact! Structure very strong so perfect for a first time flyer! 5 stars from me!  Rob
  5. allso would you recommend making small adjustments to the servo levers? Thanks  R.
  6. thanks for the tips eric. Im pretty certain the batteries charging OK. i get about 15 minutes of good flying time and the blue LED flashes after the flying time is up so this is reassuring.  Its just a bit concerning that the green light doesnt go out when the batt is charging One more quick question.. wots the easiest way to access the inner shaft? Do i have to disassemble everything or is there an easier way to get to it? i want to check the straightness of it  Any help would be great Thanks Rob
  7. Thanks for the advice eric. I do believe my receiver aerial had allready been unwound prior to packaging.. but no where in the the instructions about that! Re the charging light, i have left the charger on for 1 hr and 20 but the green light is still staying lit.  I did however get one "error charging" warnin light wen i left it on for a similiar length of time. At the moment i am giving it about an hour and 10 minutes of charge because im afraid of ruining the battery!! (mite need to go back to the model shop ) Thanks also for the advice on the flybar. couple of other things...everytime i fly it seems that the trim setting constantly change and one time i wos applying full right stick back and right (to the make the heli fly backwards and crap to the right, with trim aswell) and i found that the heli wos only very slowing creeping backwards and crabbing.  Is this normal? and if so do i need to trim the 4 in 1 control unit before everytime i fly to correct for this? Also one flight i wos giving the heli more throttle than it normaly needs (about 15 more clicks of the left stick) and it only just started to lift.  I did have a minor crash on a wooden chair leg before hand where a blade caught it.  Wot would be the main cause for this sudden  needed increase of throttle? also if the main shaft wos very slightly bent wud this effect the amount of throttled needed for takeoff?  Sorry for being so long-winded!  Wud be great for some answers! Thanks. Rob.
  8. just a few questions regarding the medevac.. Is it normal for the tail boom/tail rotor to "wobble" slightly wen throttle is increased or should it remain completely still without a vibration? also, regarding the charger.. has anyone found that the green light on the charger doesnt turn off? I have to charge for around a hour because i have no indication that its finished charging!!! i find it a bit annoying!  Also i found out that wen i touched the arieal on the transmitter, strange sounds were cumin from the heli like the parts were moving? is this normal?  Also wen i approached the heli after a crash it seemed to go crazy and the rotors started to move even tho i hadnt touched a single control!  Sorry if i sound stupid!  Only just bought one the other day and apart from that there great little machines!! Help wud be great thanks! Rob.
