  1. Hi TJ  No luck yet with the bungee - am getting the Tx and servos this weekend and will then begin the build. Will also load some pics. I agree with Eric on the location of the 'hook'. Am going to put it just in front of the u/c doors - it's not going to be perfect, but it'll get her airborne.  V
  2. Thanks Eric! Will have to come up with some work around....
  3. Thanks Timbo and Eric - will prob go for 2.4, but it's going to be a while before I get this model in the air. Being new to gliding I only realised the model has a nose release hook - can I still use a bungee launch for this? Towing is not an option. Just worried that the direction of the bungee will pull the nose straight into the ground....your thoughts?
  4. Hi Everyone  So I recently bought the new CMPro Ventus as my first glider - ambitious agreed!  I need some advice on servos and a battery along with a Tx. For the Tx I was thinking along the lines of the futaba 6 ch 2.4gHz.......  Any advice would be really appreciated as I haven't had to install anything on a model for about 15 yrs.  Thanks!  V
  5. Thanks Eric and Timbo - will have to re-evaluate.....picking a plne isn't as easy as it seems!  V
  6. Hi  I've been looking at progressing to my next model and have decided on an electric glider being a good option - have narrowed the search down to 2 the Sirius XL and the Easyglider.  There are loads of reviews and details about the Easyglider, but hardly anything on the Sirius XL. So, has anybody bought / flown the Sirius? What are the pros and cons? I know the Easyglider is a cool plane, but the Sirius seems more stable with the fibreglass and has more weight / wingspan to allow for windy days.  Your thoughts? V
  7. Still no luck from Wrexham about the Airliner kit......think it's only available from Hong Kong.  Anybody know of any other places to get Airliner replicas short of shelling out for the www.EDFmodels.com versions?
  8. Hello I'm looking at getting more into airliner models and found a site in Hong Kong that produce a replica of the new Airbus A380. It's original format is for gliding, but it can have electric motors installed I just wanted to find out if anybody has this model or knows of anyone who's bought one - what are the pros and cons of this model etc. Seems that not too many companies offer anything in the way or Airliners except for the E-Flite version. The one from Windrider is for electric motors and the basic kit only costs $180 with $80 delivery charge - they quoted $555 for delivery of the kit along with the 4 electric motors and ESC. http://www.windrider.com.hk/products/product.cfm?id=9 Can anybody tell me if anyone in the UK offers similar products?  Thanks in advance for your responses  Vincent
