  1. Anyone passing our club is welcome to join us for a fly  we are an electric and four stroke club only.    We fly from the the outskirts of Harrogate in Yorkshire and  welcome new members.   We have an established website which graphically describes what we get up to. The address is www.nlmfc.org if you want to take a look. Edited By David Ashby - RCME moderator on 18/06/2009 16:04:00
  2. Is there another mode ? Seriously though our club www.nlmfc.org retrained a lot of mode 2 flyers to mode 1 to help them with their landing skills, it seemed to work as they found it easier to control the primary landing functions on different sticks. I'm interested to know the reason for most of the new TX's (well certainly the ones in the local(ish) model shop) are supplied mode 2 as standard ? Edited By James Hindle on 14/06/2009 06:28:55
  3. I like the sound of that mowerman, I must get to more shows when the kids get a bit older and hopefully one of them shows an interest in the hobby, now that would be the perfect excuse   Look forward to hearing from you Timbo, lets hope for good weather  (John kettley would have spoiled his underpants with the conditions last year !)
  4. Fair comment Timbo, may even bump into you at Rufforth, its round the corner from me, why not bring a plane and come for a fly at our club afterwards ?
  5. Before the LMA changed their website / forum I asked the question as to why they didn't promote electric flight and why all the shows were obsessed with petrol / turbine engines. I think I am right to say that the shows are heavily dependant on good trader support yet often the time given over to traders is 20 minutes with no commentary ?   Although I received some responses to my questions they weren't helpful and degenerated into a who's got the biggest 'gas / turbine' engine debate.   I'm not saying that I like to see the big stuff in action but I also like to see the models people want to buy fly, am i alone in this or does anyone else feel the same
  6. No sleep next week then ?   Lets hope for good weather, are you going the full 6S route with this one Scott.   I hope you get lots of stock it is sure to fly off the shelves / shows etc
  7. This is the British version, the top photos were the swiss colours
  8. Its just started shipping so should be in the shops in a couple of weeks. To be honest the main problems with the previous jets were gear doors and retracts. The new sprnig metal retracts should hold up well on grass, I'm waiting on some to try on my rafale.   Personally I can't wait and have opted for the traditional camo hunter. Thius video sold it to me ......
  9. This one looks very very nice expecially for those like me  who don't have the patience to build the west wings version.....The new sprung oleos and metal retracts should make it go well from grass and the wings are removeable for transport...   Scott et al should have them in very very soon ........
  10. Very nice build thread timbo, even though it was a tiresome build I'm sure you'll agree she's worth the effort, even though I didn't bother with the spakle and re-spray and she has had a few major rebuild she is a very forgiving model who has a great presence (and scale speed) in the air.   I always enjoy flying her those flat out low passes just make you want to climb on in .......
  11. why does Alex  always use a * when mentioning electric ?   Can someone tell him I find him offensive !!!!
  12. Ahhh Kevin Saunders of Jepe Pyranha fame, never have I been shaking as much as I did when I flew mine, although it only lasted a couple of flights, stupid fast but Kevin, well he was a god with it !
  13. Hi,    Tim from Rc Lander has improved the metal retracts (more cover) and developed sprung oleos that retrofit in all models, should be available from  end of may, I'd hang fire as they will help....
  14. hopefully these should help .....
