  1. So I am not alone then ! I have a brand new OS 56 Alpha 4 stoke and could not fit it, so I have had to buy a 2 stroke. Now I need a suitable plane to put the 4 stroke in (was thinking about a small Piper Cub as a second plane....?) Any views.....?
  2. Thx and I will be in touch no doubt.....  Night..
  3. Glad that I am not going mad !!! Also have you glued the wings together or are you joining them and attaching the middle servo at the field each time ? I have been advised to glue but don't know if this is common practice [or necessary] sorry so many questions......
  4. I have now got a 2 stroke O.S MAX 50FX (Ring) as I was having trouble figuring out, how to attach the throttle linkage on a 4 stoke with the link on the left back instead of the front right on the 2 stroke.  I have the new engine mounted and the fuel tanks sorted.. Now fixing the control horns to the rudder and aerolons (??) but these appear to be reveresed from the decription given in the manual i.e the rudder linkage sits at the correct height on the left (looking from tail) and not the right side as shown ?  Any others found this or am I being a total donut ?  H E L P ???
  5. Victor, Thanks for the reply and you would imagine that they would give you an exact dimension for this tube so it could be cut to the mm rather than "guestimating". I am a member of lambourn club and a very experienced pilot will assist on the build and also test fly the beast.... I went 4 stroke 'cause I could and also it is quieter that 2 stroke and the nanny state requires silence at all times when possible.  I will let you know how I get on......  cheers for your advice I am aiming to get th A cert by the end of 2008....here's wishing then a 1/3 scale piper cub I think as a present for passing....
  6. Just got my WOT Trainer and noticed a couple of things; 1. The wings fit perfectly only if the aluminium tube is not in the middle, as it appears to be 5-6 mm too long and it stops the wings meeting ! 2. The captive nuts for the dagger undercarriage are WEAK to the point where 1 of the 4 just fell into the fuselage when I hand started the thread. (I will epoxy the captive nut in using a magnetic screwdriver to allow me to access the hole (yes it is one of the 2 akward ones !). 3. I am trying to fit an OS56Alpha has anybody tried this or any exprerience of it..? 4. I have never built a plane before (or flown for more that 1 min on a buddy box). H E L P !
