Mines should be in today, just can't get it till 16 August as I'm in Ayr and the TX is in Aberdeen! I hate exams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've recieved 4 so far!  Must mean my new tx is well on its way!!!

Yep, mines should be arriving on the 5th August! 

I'll be away for a full week in the second week of August, which is when the stupid thing comes in.  Just hoping my model shop will hold it since I am a regular customer  Just put this here as I reckon I look like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep that was the exact e-mail I got!  Hope to get a reply saying my new tx is coming.

I just got a reply from Ripmax to the first e-mail I sent asking for the mode type I want!  Sending that e-mail with post haste!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll take you on that!  I sent my 2nd e-mail yesterday.

Quite like this plane, and the review of the larger model.  Will make a great project after flying with the trainer! Count me in!  PS how do you do a draw like this?

Just wondering, if I made the keel out of ply, would this make it too heavy?  I made a few drawings while in lectures (I really need to pay more attention) and thought this would make it stronger.  After seeing a DC3 with two glow engines, I'm tempted to go down that road, but I think electric may be safer.

Good advice!  Just to find a decent loch.  A guy I know has a big pond, well large enough to go on a boat.

Hi Where can I find Alasdair Sutherlands website?  I will be looking at the prop arcs, not sure how I will sort it, was thinking of making the body slightly taller or something. Where are the splash in's held? Iain

Thanks for the info. I started flying myself, but through the years of uni work, I decided I would be better off joining a club.  Some of the guys said they would help with advice, but I want to get the Bronze certificate and learn to fly properly by an instructer. Weight was something I was going to look into, especially what size motor would give enough power, etc.  It will be a fair old while before I start glueing things together.  I also want to learn about the electrical stuff first, and the best CG. I just cannot see this plane being glow, petrol or diesel.  I think that positioning the tank will be too hard, and what I can remember, the tank has to be behind the engine.  This would mean an even larger wingspan and model which I don't really want. But thanks for the advice. Iain

I really loved this plane when I was younger, and always wanted a model, but there has never been one, a bit like Airwolf.  I was at one point going to buy a damaged Raptor 90 or something, take the engine out and put the airwolf body on it, but never fly it.  But I thought it would be a bit stupid and expensive. Hopefully I can pull it off.
