  1. Thanks for your input I've searching 'tinternet for a while and kinda came to the same conclusion - guess the actual frequency of the crystal is different to what is written on the tape. My Sanwa set came with one Tx crystal marked "85" and I was using a pair of ESKY "80" Tx Rx xtals which did not work. Peeling off the labels revealed no marks on the case to say the actual osc freq (most xtals I've come across have had the freq stamped on the case). If these were stamped then I might have twigged. Am I right in thinking the Tx / Rx Xtals actually osc at different mhz ? Like the Tx being multiples higher than the desired ?  Looks like I am shopping for xtals now  but found DX6i sets for under £100 now very tempting
  2. Hi All  I am new to flying  - in fact I subscribed to mag a year ago and been reading and collecting parts to build my first trainer for nearly a year...slow progress but learnt lots before getting in to the air. Finally got 90% of the stuff I need for my first plane  .Although I have a coax heli which I have mastered. My question is that I have a Sanwa RD6000 Sport and are trying to use it with a 6 channel ESKY Rx, with ESKY Cystals. when I power up all the servos go completley mad and are moving all the time. I set the Tx to PPM and have been through the Tx manual to no avail. I have an ESKY 4 channel Rx which works with this Rx ok with no glitches.....  Have I got the wrong Rx for this Tx ( I read eleswhere maybe the Crystals need to be Sanwa - but as an electronics enginner surely a Crystal is a Crystal?) As you can understand I don't want to take to the air with a dangerous system

I've been flying a V4 for a year now and have many mods which have increased the performance dramatically. Xtreme blades and motors - high C lipo , shortend flybar and the cheapeast mod - longer servo horns, this increases the forward speed by a huge amount......even outside Can't beat a CP heli outside though if there's more than a slight breeze
