Hi Timbo, I am a newbie in electric modelling and as such I expect to make some mistakes, but I hope this missive will help to prevent anyone making the same mistake as I made today.   When I soldered connectors to my ESC and UBEC I ran out of red heatshrink tubing so I covered the connector with a black piece. I connected the power train today (having forgotten about two black connectors) and I am sure you can guess what happened. wires cross-connected and your Magic smoke issuing from the ESC. The moral is always double check before connecting your battery.   I

I need your help guys, at a recent show I decided to try my hand at electric flight. Having bought motor, ESC etc, I also bought a Fusion Elyssium charger and a Turnigy Battery. My problem is I do not know if I can charge the battery through the balance plug (whatever this is for) or if I need to connect the two large wires which I assume connect through the ESC to the motor. Any help ypu can give will be greatly appreciated.

Even I could learn to fly with this.

Hi all, I'm afraid I also suffer the model-buying affliction and always seem to find it worse at model shows when temptation takes over. However, my dad used to say that you should give in to temptation otherwise you won't know what you're trying to resist.
