  1. the laser 100 with a 16x6 prop is extremley quite in my opinion, even at the laser engines website is stated that is the most quite in the series. if you phone or mail to neil tidey of laser engine's he will be glad to help and give information.
  2. a laser 100 will definatley be the best choice for this model. it's more compact and the silencer will stay in the cowl. or better still, with the same dimensions the laser 150 will give more than enough power. looking foward for the plans! thank you so much Tony!
  3. yes KEN the timing part is the one that i'm a little worried, i have an old OS 26 SURPASS and i noticed that it has a mark T on the prop backplate. T for top dead centre i assume. but it's not the same on the SC and ASP engine. definitly i'm not going to open the OS to learn on it's dear to me and a museum piece. i think i might order that book. if anyone knows about a good website post it here guys.   regards Daniel
  4. yes doug i have a SC 30 four stroke and engine bearings dont sound that they are in good condition also there is a little play. so with a good book as richard sad and with little patience i think i can make it. any other suggestions ??   regards daniel
  5. hi i'm looking for a tread or website, anything that could explain how to open a 4 stroke engine and showing how dissamble it as it should be. for example how to get the timing good in case nothing was marked, how to remove valves, what to take care before removing, and what are the most important parts to inspect and how to  install everything.   any help!   regards Daniel
  6. hi pete another great design of yours!, well done. did you ever designed a pattern ship for a .25 to .36 engine?  similar to the OUYA 40 any chance one day we will see another pattern plane for a pull out plan? regards daniel
  7. the design of this airplane is really good, easy to build and simple. (well done pete) the think that holds me not to start build it yet is that tank. i think i will try to find a 2oz tank a stay with that but here in malta are a little bit difficult to find that size. another possibility is try to enlarge a bit the plan, so i can use my magnum25 and maybe install a 4oz tank daniel
  8. hi, do you plan to make your own fuel tank as mentioned in the magazine or just use a 2oz tank? does a 2oz tank is not enough for a .15 engine? can't make ,say about 10min flight? regards daniel
  9. Hello  to everyone! i'm daniel from malta and i'm a new comer in this forum. seeing this thread i had the temptation to have a go, so here i am with my suggestions for the next plan in the rcme magazine. since tony nijhuis revealed to have a great tallent to produce excellent scale plans for the newcomer ,it would be nice maybe to have next a nice ME109E for a 60 size I.C engine, seem that these me109's arent so popular out there. i'm i wrong? would be up for a challange MR nijhuis? also it would be nice too to see finally a nice russian warbird ,how about a YAK3?? next maybe would be also in consideration for a sport model ,but some how close for pattern aerobatics too.  60 size I.C also , so what about a nice DALOTEL ? well i hope maybe tony or someone in the rcme see my ideas thanks
