I bought the Nijhuis Lancaster plan & pack , as soon as it was available. I believe that it was about 3-4 years ago. As i love building, I absolutely loved the project from beginning to end. I covered the whole airframe with Litespan, & attained the target finished weight without too much difficulty. I took the finished aircraft up to our club field & had good vibes from all the members, whom I believe expected me to heave it skyward! Being as I am an oil burner @ heart, I refrained from doing so, because, it just didnt feel right to me. I took some pics of the Lanc, & took it home! It has stayed in my modelling room ever since, The main reason for me not attempting flight, was the weight of the Ni- Cads, & the possible interference from the brushed motors. Since then of course, brushless motors have arrived on the scene, & of course Li- PO cells which in turn, should improve the power to weight ratios. I still dont feel right about the aircraft, so i will procrastinate until such time that I may feel certain of a degree of sucess. Cheers ROY MONK.
