  1. Good bit of history there Martin, agreed it is very very well worth a visit. Only been the once, must have been over 15 years ago, I must pop in again.

  3. Peter seems to have evaporated from the thread? Don't blame him, I don't like flying with me either!

  7. I'm not sure you understood Peter, what I'm saying is I'll cost share with another pilot to get the plane from Essex to Panshanger.   Once I get to Panshanger I'm offering to take you flying for half an hour or so for free. It isn't going to cost you anything other than your trip from home to Panshanger airfield. (though it might be nice if you bought me a coffee!)   So if you want to fly, here is your chance. We could do the usual 'fly over your house' thing if there is no airspace restrictions.
  8. Dehavilland Airfield, you must mean Salisbury Hall near St Albans?. Panshanger the other side of Hatfield would be the nearest GA field to you I think. Your not far either from  Elstree, but Elstree is very expensive on landing fees.   If you can get yourself to Panshanger and I can find someone to cost share with me from Andrewsfield I'm sure we could drop in and give you a flight. Let me know some dates by PM.
  9. Cheers guys, I'm convinced I'll go for a Dremel with a multi chuck. Many thanks for all the help and thoughts, I really would have gone for another cheapy if I hadn't have asked, but I think now it would just be false economy.
  10. This package seems like it might fit the bill, not budget but I like the Flexishaft attachment:   http://www.londonpowertools.com/proddetail.asp?id=9024&textpage=7.793391E-02&mainpage=0.5216029&start=1   Though I'll let the thread run a bit longer before a final decision!
  11. Cheers guys, hmmmm yep I want I chuck this time, I'm always losing collets. Perhaps I'll drop the 'budget' requirement and take a look at some Dremel's.   Mostly I think it's the time I use them for that's the problem rather than using them for heavy jobs. I can be running them for hours whilst 'evaporating' foam, I think this is why the internal controller boards keep giving up.
  12. Hi guys,   Never know where to post these questions, but I guess here is best.   My third mini drill in as many years has given up the ghost. Seems it's always the controller boards that go, with little chance of a repair.   I'm looking for a budget variable speed mini drill that will last me for a while.

  19. Geoff be serious, you asked for comments you can't get upset just because you don't like all of them.   I've already said I thought the idea was great and wished you well with the site.   However, after signing up I expected the next step would be for me to list some items, not receiving badly formatted emails... jeez enough said - good luck with your site, as I've said I won't be saying any more on the forum about it. It does make me realise though to think twice before giving details such as email addresses on website - usually I'm the first to give something new a go.   Get professional about it Geoff and people won't be negative about it, you can't play it both ways of 'I'm just a nice guy who loves the hobby' and take fees for the listings, as soon as you do that you need to start to stick to the rules.Edited By Gemma Jane on 30/06/2010 18:41:59
  20. Would like to see pictures of the flap installation if possible James, good luck with the maiden.
