  1. Can Doo

Test flew my Can Doo last weekend, really impressed with how it flies so far! It doesn't seem to have any nasty habits. 4-Max power set up gave enough power for decent verticals, although the motor came apart on its second flight and damaged the windings so not had much time to really get to grips with it.

A quick email to 4-max later and I was told that this was my fault and was the result of poor pre flight checks (which I know were carried out correctly) so currently looking elsewhere for a new motor before I can continue flying it.

Thumbs up to Nigel and RCM&E for a great design,

    Adam

  2. I agree Peter, the GBR/CAA couldn't be more helpful in the F3A/F3P scene, every member is more than happy to help you out when you're stuck and give you feedback.

As for the cost I competed all the way up to FAI using a Black Horse Models Super Air and a Zen 120. Both of these models could compete against any two meter £3000 model... as long as the pilot pays attention and has set the plane up correctly!

  3. although the EZ 3D is cheaper, i would say that the yak is definately better in terms of 3D performance. but this is only based on what ive seen (never flown either of them, but i have flown similar things)

    cheers

  4. probably the best F3A style plane of that size would be the kyosho oxalys or kyosho osmose. the osmose is more expensive but a bit better due to its larger side area. (this if from what ive been told)

ive got a phoenix model laser that flies excelently and will fly all of the current f3a schedules with ease and its a bit cheaper than the oxalys.

  5. during a stall turn the plane should pivot around the CG. A wing over happens when too much speed is carried through a stall turn meaning that the plane does not actuarlly 'stall' and flies through the manouver
