  1. Tested mine a couple of days ago, flew really well with plenty of power on the FMS fan. Just need to finish the canopy and air scoops now
  2. Test flew my Can Doo last weekend, really impressed with how it flies so far! It doesn't seem to have any nasty habits. 4-Max power set up gave enough power for decent verticals, although the motor came apart on its second flight and damaged the windings so not had much time to really get to grips with it. A quick email to 4-max later and I was told that this was my fault and was the result of poor pre flight checks (which I know were carried out correctly) so currently looking elsewhere for a new motor before I can continue flying it. Thumbs up to Nigel and RCM&E for a great design, Adam
  3. I agree Peter, the GBR/CAA couldn't be more helpful in the F3A/F3P scene, every member is more than happy to help you out when you're stuck and give you feedback. As for the cost I competed all the way up to FAI using a Black Horse Models Super Air and a Zen 120. Both of these models could compete against any two meter £3000 model... as long as the pilot pays attention and has set the plane up correctly!
  4. According to google it's a Airspeed Envoy  (posted at the same time as eck) Edited By Adam Lomax on 07/05/2011 20:23:21 Edited By Adam Lomax on 07/05/2011 20:24:01
  5. although the EZ 3D is cheaper, i would say that the yak is definately better in terms of 3D performance. but this is only based on what ive seen (never flown either of them, but i have flown similar things)   cheers   adam
  6. probably the best F3A style plane of that size would be the kyosho oxalys or kyosho osmose. the osmose is more expensive but a bit better due to its larger side area. (this if from what ive been told)   ive got a phoenix model laser that flies excelently and will fly all of the current f3a schedules with ease and its a bit cheaper than the oxalys.
  7. ive just set one up now usual name and password
  8. i'm also done now, but the session is still in progress thanks Adam
  9. most modern f3a planes have very wierd names now. Xigris and Axiome to name a few
  10. The guy flying it (Donatas Pazuolis) is from Lithuania, so im guessing somewhere there
  11. You are correct Jonathan, this is 5d.in a 6d model the motor would be able to pivot up and down as well (not just left and right). It is pretty amazing thoughEdited By Adam Lomax on 26/12/2010 17:42:43

    Wing Over

during a stall turn the plane should pivot around the CG. A wing over happens when too much speed is carried through a stall turn meaning that the plane does not actuarlly 'stall' and flies through the manouver  Edited By Adam Lomax on 08/06/2010 20:15:35 Edited By Adam Lomax on 08/06/2010 20:16:45
