  1. Thanks Timbo. your mag is the best Timbo i get every mag i can, $15 is alot of money for a man with a young family and an addiction to model planes. catch you next time mate.
  2. Eric, it will be a scratch built high wing for stooging around. thanks for the info. Cheers, Dave
  3. does anyone know if there is a formula / rule of thumb, for working out what size motor is required for a model of a specific weight. (i.e. 800g). Cheers, Dave
  4. How much dihedral do i need on  a plane with no ailerons? Cheers, Dave
  5. Ah, a Seafury my favorite plane. Pick me! Pick me!
  6. Thanks boys for the info. i'll have a look at the other sites and have a crack at making one. Thanks and see you later from the Aussies.
  7. hey guys, does any one have any info/links on making a hot wire foam cutter for wings / fuse. cheers.
  8. Thanks Eric for your response. i am building a foam park flyer for thrashing around, from bits and pieces lying around. i was going to do a foam fuse and a balsa wing, and i will model it on a seafury or spitfire, so it will be a low wing. thanks again and i will post it and the flying results when im done. cheers.
  9. hi everyone, this is my first visit to this site and it looks like the place to get the info i need. i love building planes, and i am doing my first scratch build, but i need some help/advice on the angle of incidence. if i use a datum line down the side of the fuse and install my elevator in line with this, does my wing get installed on the same line or does it need to have a few degrees angle up for more lift? if i do need to angle my wing up, what is a good rule of thumb? thanks for any help, Dave from Australia
