  1. Thanks gents, feeling a bit more comfortable now - until the next race....face 7 Seems like the holes in the cheese lined up this time by doing well with the tail-gunners - and that was with only 2 correct predictionscrook

I hope Romain buys a Euromillions ticket this week - awful crash to watch. Bad news about Lewis - number 100 will have to wait for next season now, so he'd better get that contract signedteeth 2

  2. Gents, please bear in mind that the written word is all too easily misconstrued sometimes and I'm sure no slight was intended by any post on this thread. However, responding by attacking the poster isn't the way we go about it here, either.

Be polite to each other, please......smile

Zero predictions, Bottas scored zilch...again, so pretty happy with 121 points.

Congrats Lewis, mans a serial winner, how many titles does Pete B hold so far ?

    Well done Pete/Gary. yes

Believe you me John, I'm assuming nothing - that race, if anything - proves why.....teeth 2

    One correct prediction only.....face 7

Very well done and congratulations to young Lewis as well - that race wasn't won because he had the fastest car - it was wisdom, skill and experience what did it! A thoroughly worthy 7 times WCthumbs up

  4. I believe Matty has acted with the best of intentions here. I cannot speak for the BMFA, of course, but I don't see anything here that would be considered contentious or breaching copyright. Indeed, I would hope that anything that disburses information from the BMFA would be welcomed by them.

I'm sure that Andy Symons will raise the matter with us if he considers it an issuesmile

  5. Lockdown is still a couple of days away and you're already having a pop at each other!face 8

Apologies to those who have tried to keep this thread constructive but it was inevitably going to degenerate. Such threads demand a disproportionate amount of moderator attention and we inevitably end up displeasing someone.

The BMFA has published its recommendations for flyers. I would suggest we are guided by those, rather than expend energy looking for ways to get around the government's decision. FB, not here, is a good way of getting frustrations out of your system, I would suggest....wink 2

Locked - and we'll have to keep locking threads if you can't be nice to each other, so please think before posting.

    Thank you.

  6. Phew, today's result has once again got me out of the DRS zone - unlike the Eifel glitch resultface 4

Chris was getting a bit too close for comfort.....smile o

Great to see some of the older, more traditional tracks being used. I know Portimao is only 12 years old but I love the up-and-downs and gravel trapsteeth 2

Really don't enjoy the sterile, neatly-swept modern travesties of race-tracks introduced in the past few years. Let's hope they can find room on the calendar for the classic tracks in the futuresmile p

  7. I believe the forum software will resize your pics to fit the page width, Tosh, whatever size or resolution you make them, so we might just have to put up with your pics filling the post....teeth 2

A few years ago, the problem used to be that we had to reduce every pic to fit the page before uploading them - the auto-sizing was a real advance and I'm not sure the techies wouldn't appreciate being asked to unroll thatwink 2

  8. I'm not too familiar with the subscrioption side of things but I've just checked and indeed you do not have a number. On the accounts page the help numbers listed are UK: 0344 243 9023 International: +44 1604 828 748

Meanwhile, I'll draw Beth Ashby's attention to this thread - she should be able to help.

  9. Folks, I'm sure many of you will agree that we've had more than enough threads about the legislative situation.

I believe the OP was hoping to discuss the availability (or otherwise) of the traditional modelling materials and equipment we all knew and loved.....

Can we just try and stay on that topic, please?smile

While doing my predictions tonight I had a look round the site and see that I am classified as a rookie. Presumeably due to my dire record. Something else to try and improve on!!! Have we got any high classifications members not just higher than me?

    John

Seems we are all classed as rookies if we don't spend any money with them. You're in good company!teeth 2

  11. Believe me, Allan, your wish list is unquestionably shared by all members and mods and has been for a long time...smile

I understand that, some time back, the forum owners looked at an updated package but encountered insurmountable problems in migrating the archive of posts and material across to new architecture. There is a huge amount of information in the archive which we would not wish to lose.

Unfortunately, to use a phrase which has recently appeared in the Press, 'it is what it is' - and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future....face 4
