  1. Hi Eck, many thanks for your reply and explanation, I guess that with a lot of people flying on 2.4 nowadays that this problem wouldn`t be a factor. thanks again.
  2. Hi folks, forgive me for butting in on the A test stuff, but having read the requirements for the test, (I am about to take mine) in section (H) it states  clearly that `the candidate should not take thier transmitter with them when retrieving the model and it should be left with a competent person.`........I have raised this with the club examiner and he is looking into it, but I would have thought that without the transmitter, this could be a bit of a problem if the engine fired up and roared toward the pits etc, as I would have no control, could you clarify the reasoning behind this please?
  3. David,            I charged all three of the lipo`s the day before I was going to spend the morning with the chopper, all three batteries ran down within the first minute of getting off the ground. I was going to contact the model shop or Perkins thinking that there must be a problem with the charger  or battery, to be sure that I was not missing something, I charged one up and used it straight away, this is when battery performed as it should giving me a flight time of  approx 9mins. as I am new to this game, I thought someone else may have experienced similar problems.
  4. posts Hi everyone,                       I have recently bought a twister aggressor 2.4 and I am trying to get as much air time as possible, to this end I bought two extra li-po`s, the bumph that comes with the model claims a flight time of 10 - 15 minutes, we all know about the fictitious claims eh?, however with flight times from full charge only being around 2-3mins, I thought that there was a real problem with either the battery , charger, or the model. if anyone else has has similar problems, may I suggest that they try charging the battery and using it straight away, the flight time for my heli has gone up to 9mins before the blue strobe appears. kind regards   Don

  6. Thanks for the advice Phil, I tried the heat gun / shrink wrap on a piece of the same material that I have left from a previous `superdetailing` project, I take your point about the warping, it doesn`t take a lot eh?  I want the lights to look as integral as possible, another throwback to my perfectionist detailing obsession,  so I think I`ll use the shrink wrap for the lights, i have air brushed the skids already, once they are attached, I`ll touch up the skids and hopefully they will look as though they have been there all the time, I`ll post a photo of it when I`ve finished thanks again for the advice
  7. Many thanks for your reply david, the heatshrink method is a great idea, I purchased a set of lights from my local model shop yesterday afternoon ( Elite models) I`ll give it a go at the weekend, again many thanks for your help.
  8. Hello everyone, just graduated from the realms of static superdetailing to the intense world off the ground! bought myself a twister hawk and I am absolutely lovin` it, just need to breathe a little more when I`m mixing the sticks, I have managed to master the hover and am learning to be a little more daring during the out&back manouvres, if anyone has any advice on how to fit the lights to the reciever I`d be very grateful, a bit nervous of taking the beasty to pieces Don
  9. apologies of the total `numptiness` of this enquiry, just bought a twister hawk, managed to do a couple of circuits (whilst holding my breath!) and landed albeit with a bump or two, so far so good, my problem is this, I want to connect the set of lights to the skids, although it tells me to `simply` connect to spare channel on the reciever, any ideas how I get to it?, if I have to dismantle the thing, any tips and steps would be gratefully recieved many thanks in advance
